Warlock NERF Again

This movie says enough. Warlock survivability needs to be toned down much more. You can just stand still, press heal every few seconds, and wait for everything to die. This is not a sane development choice for any game.

With similar reasoning as this you can justify murder. The fact that someone else does something too doesn't make it right.

Necromancer was my favorite class in Diablo 2, and I love playing it.

I guess that someone here have "God complex", and trying impose everyone his will about what they should do, and how they should play.

Part 3 / LE solo on a barb? I am by no means the best player, nor have the BiS gear; and I don't use the best power gaming builds. However, I think I have a good appreciation of how that fight looks solo on a barb. Heck, any melee (tree aside) tanking all the bosses in there has a hard time.

Maybe there is some strategy involved I haven't figured out yet, but saying that there is no issue and taking surprise at my astonishment is I think quite a stretch.

I would love to see that easy fight!

I have a very healthy respect of Eth's accomplishments*, but color me surprised to call that fight EASY on a barb.

That's true but I don't want a god mode sorc with a pass. I like trade off.

Eldritch Burst > Chain Missiles > Eldritch Blast > Chain Missiles. Undead shiradi sorc/lock/wiz. Auto healing + temp hp, tankyness, and unresistable cheap damage. Go full shield/con if you want.

It's hard to hellball 1-27 when leveling. So there is a trade off.

This is not about arguing if it's possible or not. Everything is possible in DDO because I believe, unlike some others, player's skill matters. I only don't like when someone asks for proofs and then doesn't want to post anything himself

To be fair NO ONE has posted or linked any proff on how it's done on a fleshy melee or ranged, not slarden but either other ppl who claim it's possible, if it is so obviously possible just do it and show us. Then we can count how much time and how much resources it takes compared to warlock or other cheesy builds.

To clarify, Eth hasn't posted a video of LE Slave lord's endfight, but he has posted other kind of videos, showing his skillz.

Meanwhile, slarden hasn't ever posted anything. So yes, believing that Eth (or Cetus, or Sestra etc) has done it makes way more sense than believing slarden has done it. They earned their reputation of good players many, many times over and over. Slarden hasn't, and of course refuses to show just a screenshoot even.

As it handedly defeats all the hyberbole and overstated nonsense when people demand warlock nerfs, I can see why.

The DDO forums see more nerf demands after the revamps than full on PVP/eSports games see, on the basis of "nerf it because it ruins my fun" - and each time that feedback is acted on, balance is not achieved, and those demanding the nerfs simply regurgitate the game unfounded hyperbole either to get it nerfed again, or to get some other class nerfed because it too "ruins their fun".

After 10 years the knowledge should have been gained that all nerfing does is reorder the meta, and those same people demanding nerfs will soon jump into a group with the new top meta build which doesnt let them get many kills, and come flying back to the forums with more absurd claims of how well something performs and the fact that it does so ruins their fun, demanding it too, to be nerfed.

Reason: its not the builds that are OP, its the players they are grouping with.

Eth is a great player, not doubting that. But to clarify, I just took a quick look at eth's channel and there are 0 ( zero ) vids of him soloing anything challenging on a fleshy melee or a ranged (unless you consider VOD at lvl 28 challenging). All his solos in the last year are done by casters or robots, just saying.
