UPDATE: Cakes & Pre-Purchase Tickets

Being concerned, I addressed this with others in channels on Orien last evening. Some of those in the channels have confirmed that epic scrolls (other than Web chain) ARE dropping.

I noticed, too, that there were a couple of reports towards the end of the thread questioning the drops indicating that epic scrolls WERE dropping.

Scrolls don't drop every time. Might just be a product of circumstance. *shrug*

Wow ... thanks for clearing up! Was worried there might actually be an issue.

Lucky for us we have this Dev response that I might have to go with instead - thanks for your help!

We've identified this as an issue introduced in U13: Epic scrolls are currently not dropping from monsters in quests besides the U13 Web of Chaos adventure pack. We're currently investigating a fix for it, thanks to everyone for your feedback.

Scrolls not dropping bothered me, so I 1) attempted to bring that thread to Turbine's attention, and 2) I polled players on my server. All I did was report evidence that was offered to me.

No backtracks here. I stand my by statements:

I am pleased that the community's discussion has gotten Turbine's attention, and I feel confident that they will make the necessary corrections.

My cake is not back for me to click on it. Also, am I not supposed to get cake on each toon? Only one toon got a cake and that one bugged out and gave 1 pot instead of 25.

The onyx picture to get my loot on my preferred toon is not there in my inventory. I'm apprehensive to click on it on any other toon as I simply don't trust the statements made in the OP.

No you indicated that there was no issue based upon your false or invented information without noting the large number of posters indicating the exact opposite of what you were stating. Tolero JUST stated that we would have more info in an hour and a half (dunno how long ago that was though). I would say that by the end of the day we will have a definite answer, if not, a fix in place. Patience, patience, patience.

It is safe. As of the hotfix yesterday morning any new pre-purchases won't run into this at all.

Hey thanks for fixing this as soon as you did.

I was able to purchase the CE yesterday and everything worked as it should. The rest of my guild were very happy to be able to redeem their B-day cakes as well.

I really appreciate the effort to resolve it as quickly as you did. I'm sure other folks do too. And I hope that this quick turn around by Turbine garners enough good will that the folks who didn't get their B-day cakes to work are confident that everything will be made right in a timely manner.

I am still waiting for the fix. I tried to activate my tome of learning on the character that I intend to TR. I wanted to see that glorious panther, for whom I have chosen the name Edith. I want to be able to say, "Edith, get me a beer", and, "Ah Geez, Edith" when he walks through traps.

I also have not gotten my cake yet.

Please turbine, I want my cake and Edith too!
