Aasimar: We need a race with wisdom, and one with a charisma boost that isn't an elf is a plus.
Tiefling: You can't have the Aasimars without Tieflings. Also, I wants me a Tiefling Wizzie.
Kobold: Little lizard people... what can be better?

Kobolds.
Kobolds.
Kobolds.
Come on, they'd be tremendous fun! Ph34r teh Kobold Paladin!
In order of my preference (as playable races):
1. Half Orcs - You could just reskin the warforged
2. Planars (Tieflings/Aasimar)
Both these suggestions are made because they're the ones I've most wanted to see.
I'm not particularly familiar with D&D literature since about 1984, but the above were among my favorites.
The victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory. - Sun Tzu
Standard D&D races -
Half-elf, Half-orc and Gnome: So we can have House Vadalis, House Medani, House Tharashk & House Sivis to complete the Twelve.
Eberron races -
Changeling, cause I like 'em
Shifter, cause they would work really well with DDO's enhancement system
& Kalashtar, cause they'd be easy to add without psionics (almost identical to humans), and be a logical lead-in to "psionics someday"
Miscellaneous -
Anything but Half-dragons, cause they just don't belong in Eberron
Mine would be:
Shifter. I really like the animalisitc nature of them, and the variety of the different sub-types is pretty neat.
Half-Elf - because I'd really like to see more marks, and the Mark of Storm seems like it could be one of the more fun marks to use. (on another note, I'd like to see the Ghallanda mark added as well)

No whining, unless you're serving really good cheese. Otherwise, put a cork in it.
I decided to post before I ready anyone elses responses as I have thought about this quite a bit really.Originally Posted by tolero
1. Goblin - those sneaky little buggers are just ASKIN to be played! I know they have a much smaller if almost non-existant place in the Ebberon world but they are more fun than kobolds & would be a great addition to the game
2. Shifters - how can we have an Ebberon game without them, may as well just take all our hands now
3. bugbear/hobgoblin/troll/ogre - the big'n ugly - you know I am actually surprised with the way D&D has been moving for the past few years we don't actually have a video game in D&D that gives us the option to play the bad guys. Not that we would have to be bad, even playing a good Troll, a chaotic neutral Hobgoblin, a lawful neutral Ogre.... yeah that would be fun
*****CAVEAT: this goes with the assumption that 1/2 elf, 1/2 orc, and teifling were already added to the game like has been insinuated & that we still have access to the characters in game.... I know that may not have been the totally stated purpose of this request but so be it*******CAVEAT
Dragons hunted down and killed any dragons who mated with mortals, as well as the mortals they mated with long before Lady Erandis d'Vol came along. The reason Vol is still alive is because her mother (an elf who mated with a green dragon) managed to change Vol into a lich. Since Erandis had committed no crime herself, and being undead could no longer have children of her own, the dragons decided not to kill her. But they did kill her mother and father, as they always do anytime a dragon and a mortal mate.
With the death of Vol's mother, died the last living (Erandis now being undead) member of the House of Vol. Furthermore, when Lady Vol became a lich, she lost her dragonmark, the 13th mark - the Mark of Death. Some believe that it will someday resurface in some long lost relative of the House of Vol.
The dragonmark itself is pretty brutal, and as such it's no wonder the House of Vol was exterminated. One possessing a fully developed dragonmark could kill others with a thought just by thinking of the target, no matter how far away that target was.
My Videos Shadow Mage (ok, it's a build now)
A forum post should be like a skirt - long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.
Britches and Hose kidnapped my dog and are forcing him to farm Shroud ingredients.
I want to see Gnomes. Gnomes are fairly popular, they make great illusionists/magicians and tinkers. And I want to make a Gnome Barbarian, because he would just be a lot of fun to play.
There is no reason why a core race should not be included what so ever.
Aasimar
For great Pallys
Half Orc
If they keep with the theme, great warriors and druids
For the non-lore centric, let's try a question that's a little more general (but always important):
If you could play any D&D themed race in-game, what would it be... and why? Feel free to name your top 3!
1) I'd like to start with 1/2 orcs. been waiting to roll up a barb because this race was/is on the way.
2) 1/2 elves. As for why, I can't really say. the person who mentioned 1/2 elf druid has the feel, although a 1/2 elf ranged fighter would be cool too.
3) Gnomes. Basically because I'm tired of looking at everyones ankles as a halfling. It would be nice to look someone in the eye for a change
In leiu of any of these, I'd really like to make a FAT dwarf. So some body scaling features would be sweet too.

- Gnome - They appear in the 3.5 Players Handbook under races. We are not complete without them. (4.0 be damned!)
- Half-Orc - Same as above.
- Thri-keen - This is my "out there" choice. They'd be tough to balance, but if we had them I'd definitely roll up a monk.
Shiz - Ghallanda > Orien (Pharoah let my people go!)
Shizmonkey (OG Grand Poo-Bah of R.O.G.U.E. 1st edition) and other various ShizAlts
R.O.G.U.E. Proving Grounds Redux is now defunct. Check out Part Quatre
Shifters: thematically eberron, superior in their adaptablity because of the different types you can take. Shifting also fits into the short duration boosts that define DDO combat to some melee types.
Gnomes: I dont have any plans to make a halfling any time. In 3rd edition of D&D halfings went from a generally more Tolkien-esk hobbit type of race to a watered down version of kender (without the personality traits, but with the look and wandering tendencies.) Gnomes on the other hand are cool to me. I like Zilargo and the gnomes, they are conspicuously absent from Stormreach.
Half-elves: Airships in Stormreach as well as seabound vessels but no House Lyrandar presence? odd.
Honorable Mention: Kalashtar. couldnt be implemented without psionics and Inspired based plotline, but an amazing PnP 3.5 eberron race.

Some bonus choices: Hobgoblin, Duergar, Mindflayer
And a special choice not very serious, who wouldn't want to play a: Black Pudding
