- The badly drawn goblin from the old 2nd ed monster manual, that guy was awesome. Actually, I'd quite like to play a goblin. Not a hobgoblin, not a bugbear - a goblin.

Some toons with Cow in the name, and some without.
Uhhhhh Solar Angel....
Oh you meant seriously...gnomes would be really cool if the devs could make illusions useful. See my thread regarding illusions for more information.
1. giants. Every giant can't evil.....
2. catgirls. artic, desert, any type... Because we need diversity, and everyone looks the SAME.
3. Shifter. Being able to change to alter abilities, needs to happen after abilities actually make a difference in the game.. but its my choice.
So after being considerably bored and curious what the concensus picks were here is what i came up with, by the way, i simply counted based the number of times some thing was mentioned and applied this same logic to my own post.
Half Orc 34
Gnome 29
Plane Touched 27 (lumped calls for aasimar, tieflings, etc here.)
Half Elf 22
Shifter 20
Kalashtar 17
Kobold 15
These were all of the serious shout outs, every thing else i lumped into monster as player character, and here is how many;
95 (With Elven variants, Minotarus, Lizard Folk, War Forged Scout, and Kenku recieving around 4-6 each)
So Turbine it would seem you have your work cut out for you, persoanlly i thnk the more racial variance that you can add to the game, the more money you will make!!

A forum post should be like a skirt - long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.
Britches and Hose kidnapped my dog and are forcing him to farm Shroud ingredients.
I love the fact we're officially even talking about races, I can only hope that means new races will be introduced soon.
Eberron specific races: Kalashtar, Changeling/Shifter. I see problems with them, with how to bring in shape shifting and psionics to this game.
PHB Races: Many people have been waiting patiently (or impatiently) for the Half-Orc, Half-Elf and Gnome. Personally I rarely played any of these races in PnP and not likely to rush into playing them here either.
Tiefling/Aasimar/Genasi: Love these races, while technically introduced for Forgotten Realms they all can easily fit into Eberron. They all match with the feel of Eberron's wider world, which bring me to my last category.
Monster Races: Eberron was also supposed to be a world where the typical monster could also interact in day to day life with any 'normal' race. We see this with a few NPC's in the game Kobold/Hobgoblin/Ogre, etc quest givers. I daresay I'd love to see a couple of them implemented. My personal favorites being Duergar, Hobgoblin, Gnoll and Minotaur.
Any and all new races will be welcome. Any of the more powerful ones having to be carefully looked at, but many would probably follow the Drow example. 28 point builds only with some abilities being improved or added through Enhancements. Duergar being added as a dark Dwarf equivalent of the Drow to Elf, would be awesome. And while evil as an Alignment probably won't be added, Tiefling would as least let people believe they were making an evil character.
So in closing.
1- Tiefling
2- Duergar
3- Gnoll
4- Genasi (which is really like giving us four new races)

Happened to stumble onto this in the compendium. Are there a lot of things that are in the compendium that aren't in game, or being added?

Goliath!
(But only if they could use larger weapons)
