I'm amazed how loose some people are playing...

I mean, not even healing themselves... When you are at 32/67 hp on a perma-death server, you'd think one would take a second to heal, or at LEAST, not be the first one to charge into a room.

But I saw someone die last night charging forward like that.

I'm thinking I may drop down to hard for Syndicate and Catacombs. I just want to get through them, get some good BtA gear, put it in the shared bank, and then go back to living on the edge. Maybe do them again on R1 after that.

I expect to die at some point, but if I have NOTHING in the shared bank to show for it, it will be harder to start over.

twice I met my demise from other players actions.

1st was the pulling of orange named trog and his buddies in WW R1, that led to ambush w/ no chance to defend. (no more reaper as a result)

2nd was a Leroy Jenkins debacle last night. (my fault for being brave to run 2 levels under vs 2 over)

3rd was having my WF Pally finding traps with his nose. (oops, forgot to stop running)........... It was funny though.

I agree - need to get my House P and J buffs ...

I spend time breaking and gathering everything to get plat for pots - I have some cures, neutrilze, remove curse. I drink all the buff pots I find, iummediately. I have enough collectables now to start turning them in as well. Those little things can make a BIG difference.

    Nice!
My take on "the grind": https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post6220972

Ordinary humans have inhibitions that serve as a buffer against what we know is bad behavior.
However, some people, by blaming others for their own bad behavior, develop a thought pattern that allows them to override self-control in order to achieve a selfish end.
    - My opinion on exploiters and cheaters blaming SSG for unfair punishment.

Level 3 - In Dirk's Secret - Kobold shaman somehow damaged me 3 times with one lightning bolt. over 75 points of damage left me incapped and no one in the party could do anything other than watch me die.

Currently level 4, and still alive.

    Default Featherfall

I'm not dead yet (knock on wood) but I came really close when the whole group, including me, jumped off a cliff and I plummeted like a stone. Two members of the group cast feather fall but for some reason neither spell took hold on me. Needless to say, I took the ladders/stairs for the next few levels until I got my own FF item :P

P.S. I am LOVING the hardcore server. Brings me back to the early days of DDO

Default Proof is in The Poison

Proof is in the Poison Elite

Had done a nice run with a competent party.
I was level 5 holding level 6 and then level 6 holding level 7
We ran all of Water Works elite
    STK 1 and 2 Elite
    Tangle Root 1-4 Elite
Red Fang Elite ( lost 1 to Poison traps then another to the Fire trap after the Poison Room. )
    Freshen the Air Elite

And Then.......Proof is in the Poison.....DUNN DUNN DDDDAAAAAAA.

Was going well.. I had prepared, Was running a 1/5 ranger/pally Asimar Scourge , had stocked up on resist 20 pots for Acid, Fire, and Electric.
Was headed into the Home Stretch of the Quest and met my demise against a Red Crown Skyborn Champion with a 1 shot kill Lightening bolt.

Ahh well...said good bye to my Blade of the Inquisition, Level 1 vorpal short sword, Battle Worn Sword, ( but not my level 3 perm hireling, thank the good spirits )

So deleted the character, Created a new of the same name. And now back at level 5....

Waterworks part III. After the drop down to the platforms on the water room. Kobold shaman with a lightning bolt, a failed save, and a level 6 rogue was no more.

I knew going in that ship buffs, or the lack thereof, was going to be a problem.

I did not survive Day Four...

In Repossession, lvl 7 Artificer, thought I had disarmed a trapped item and found out I was wrong in a rather explosive fashion.
