When you try and eat the cake it summons a geneie who has a barter trade list for things you can turn your cake in for.

Your choice of a +2 tome, random ddo store items (sp pots, guild reknown, crafting xp, slayer boosts), or 3 pork barrels these are the only thing I don't know how they work yet.

Overall I find these fairly underwhelming. The first cakes given out years ago would be better today as they allow summoning of shrines in raids which is really nice when first learning a raid. These rally just grant a very small xp boost.

Choice of plus 3 tome would be more appropriate since some people didn't get a couple pages ful of plus threes acouple months ago. Also no experience potions there is kinda weak too. 25 major pots is really the best thing here and those are available pretty cheap also due to the same bug/exploit.

+2 tome is huge for probably 75% of the playerbase.

Possibly but a +3 would also be huge for them then wouldn't it and it placates the other 25%. Except the people who just got bank pages of tomes it acutally hurts them as it devalues their items.

Rewards are not awesome. But it's still something free. 25 major pots is something I'll gladly take

I have still valiantly held onto my first ever ddo djinni cake for all these years (3rd birthday gift i think it was). Getting them again is a good thing - even if the cake djinni options have changed which is to be expected. What i want to know is if i've so carefully kept my little bit of cake from their 3 rd birthday when they give them out again will it no longer say "ddo 3rd brithday" and have the original djinni options - or will it transform into something else like the Jelly Cakes are known to do?

+2 tomes are huge for everyone except ubers. This sounds awesome. (plus its free, as in you don't pay for it, as in there's no cost, as in they are being nice, really nice. What's that saying? something about a horse eating a gift?...)

It is probably too late as it would require some kind of new item and barter box code, but a +3 tome swap token would be a great compromise for some of us. Prior to the news about tome retention through TR, for example I had acquired a couple BTC +3 dex tomes from end reward lists. Now one of those is... well, I'd love to trade it in for a different one!

It will get that way with the tr changes. I think it's safe to say most of the +2 tomes in the game are consumed by tr's. Once they stop eating all them the value of a +2 tome drops significantly.

Your old cake is safely staying the same and old. Old Birthday Cakes of Wishes don't turn into new Six Year Old Cakes.
