Server down for good?

Is the test server down for good? As in never opening again? or at least for awhile?

Got a server wide message saying Lamannia is closing, etc.

It's closing because what's on Lamannia is now on Live, so it's pretty much useless to now be on Lamannia.

Well, that sucks, I was enjoying it. I just came back and decided to try the test server 'cuase of the free points.

bummer, so they dont keep the test server open all the time like Eq1?

Nope, once the content goes live, they shut it down until they start rolling out the next update. And generally wipe all the characters in the meantime.

humm, so what do i do now? I think i have some stuff unlocked on some server i played a few years ago, Drow maybe, but so totally lost. Do i have to re download the game again?

anyone know where to find info on what you get for subbing?

or is it better off just dumping 30-60 bucks into the ddo store?

this aggravates me on lammania they announced its being taken down for update not being take down till next update =\ i was in the middle of doing something when they turned it off.

I wish it were up on a more permanent basis myself. I use it as a try before you buy type server.

Yes seems with some of the Current Issues Things got rushed just a bit shutting Lammy down. But who knows what is in the works not any of Us Players..
