Default named items becoming btc after U36 & 37

I have at least 5 examples of items becoming bound since U 36 & 37.

I've had these items since 2010, *edit, 2010 - 12 era* and used them as I developed and TR's toons.

Here's proof of one of them. Sword of the Thirty, and Bow of the Elements (air) also.

Well, back in 2010, red slots on ML12 weapons didn't exist, and neither did [W] bonuses, so that screenshot is showing a modern version of that weapon. Looks like your old weapons are auto-converting to the new versions with augment slots and bonuses to [W], and those new versions are BTC on Equip.

I didn't think they auto-converted, though, so that's kind of weird. You didn't happen to run it through the stone of change or anything, did you?

No, thanks for replying. That's the nature of the thread, I TR'ed, and now I have 5 items that were used specifically for that. And are now BTC.

I wanted player base feedback before I submit tickets. (they have enough things to fix) Maybe that bow came from 2012 vs 10', but the fact remains, I did nothing, and thats what Im dealing with.

Thanks for the reply Ellis, and the character planner work.

The augment system was introduced in 2013. If your bow is from 2013, it's supposed to be BTC on Equip. (Which it is.)

Have you checked all of your inventory? I have both versions of similar items that had a MLx unbound version with no augment slot and the exact same item MLx+2 with a red augment. The Silver Longbow is one example. I have both a ML6 unbound w/o augment and the ML8 BTCoE w/red slot. I have armor the same way - Silken Mail ML8 unbound and ML10 BTCoE with blue slot.

It's possible you picked up the new versions in your questing w/o realizing it. Doesn't that bow come from the Sands wilderness rares?
My take on "the grind": https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post6220972

Ordinary humans have inhibitions that serve as a buffer against what we know is bad behavior.
However, some people, by blaming others for their own bad behavior, develop a thought pattern that allows them to override self-control in order to achieve a selfish end.
    - My opinion on exploiters and cheaters blaming SSG for unfair punishment.

It is possible for 2 items, Like the same as you, the silver bow. However, that is not the case for the other items.
This is why I came here to get answers from fellow players.

Thanks, I dont want to submit tickets for something that changed in-game without our collective knowledge.
