Why do lfm level restrictions not work?

I put an lfm for players to join level 28-30.Somehow I still get join request from players who are as low level 20.Shouldn't the level restriction on the lfm post block those request automatically?Fyi-the last quest this happened on was level 28 and that low level player couldn't even step into the dungeon.Often I will accept players into groups because I assume the level restrictions on the lfm are working.Guess I should know better.

Sometimes players don't pay attention to what the lfm says or try to sneak into the group because they think they can handle the content.

The problem with a lockout is that some players want to be able to have friends or whoever join to talk. Sometimes party leaders will make exceptions too. There would have to be a toggle or something to have a lockout.

In general players take the lower limit, especially in epics, with a serious grain of salt. But the upper limit, set for BB or maximal reaper xp, people get very annoyed about if it is broken. A powerful level 20 is often stronger than a new level 28.

LFM Restrictions are guidelines not set hard. The number of lfms that I see lv 20's put up to run epic content but it says they will accept lv 18-22.

As to people not reading the lfms, I have run off favor and sagas recently and have had a lot of people join when I was running the HEROIC version of a quest to complete the saga. They complain when they join since I am lv 30 and should be running epic, and yes I capitalize HEROIC each lfm post and it still doesn't help.

You can request to join any party, it is still up to the settings on if the PL has to manually accept (Something I recommend if you want to make sure what you set is honored) or Auto-Accept (if you don't care)

It would be nice if out-of-level applicants showed as a different color in the chat message you get when they request to join. Maybe Red for overlevel and Yellow for underlevel. Or something.
