Default Firegoddess and anyone else able to run Reaper 10....... I have a huge favor to ask

I don't know your user name on the forums here

I really want to farm a mythic +4 bonus Legendary Wave Of Despair from the quest Desire In The Dark, but the only one I know who is tough enough to help is you...... By any chance might you consider running Desire In The Dark on reaper 10?

If the weapon also drops with some reaper bonuses, that would be epic!

I'd gladly pass any item other than the chest, all I want is a mythic+4 Legendary Wave Of Despair.... if a mythic +2 Wave of Despair with a reaper bonus drops and a mythic +4 without drops, I'd prefer the +4 mythic and would gladly pass the other for it....

Anyhow, recruitment drive for the group.... time running is at the 9th of February starting @2:30 and ending at 6:30 (Eastern Time Zone), I'll need five of the toughest out there...

After this, I plan on running Legendary Shroud, Legendary Hound Of Xoriat, and then I plan on joining Gingerspyce for the Mark Of Death raid....

You'd be better off farming this on low reaper.

There's no guarantee an r10 completion will give you the item you want, and it's doubtful the "increased chance" of getting items would make up for the speed penalty of much slower completions.

    Thanks.

What are the loot differences in reaper modes based on?

    My guess is something like:

0.11% chance for reaper bonus on 1-skull
0.12% chance for reaper bonus on 2-skull
0.13% chance for reaper bonus on 3-skull
0.14% chance for reaper bonus on 4-skull
0.15% chance for reaper bonus on 5-skull
0.16% chance for reaper bonus on 6-skull
0.17% chance for reaper bonus on 7-skull
0.18% chance for reaper bonus on 8-skull
0.19% chance for reaper bonus on 9-skull
0.20% chance for reaper bonus on 10-skull

(To clarify, I mean ranging from a tenth of a percent to a fifth of a percent, not 11% to 20%.)

Don’t think it matters. I may be wrong here, but,”you and your toughest four friends come help me farm this piece of loot” doesn’t seem to have a ton of appeal. Maybe the subject of the OP will come here and prove me wrong, but seems a bit assuming to me. I mean you can’t shoot him a tell asking for help or you don’t know his forum name to shoot him a pm? You just put out a random post, and included in that is you want to join someone else’s raid to get another piece of loot you want?

Is this the same raid you send tells to me when I’m playing a healing class, telling me to go flag while you get a group together cuz you really want a certain piece of loot from that raid?

Do you see a pattern here, or is it just me?

We've been told that the chance of getting named loot goes up by some amount in higher skull runs, but not by how much. I'm not sure if the chance of getting items with a mythic or reaper bonus goes up as well. It might but I don't remember reading anything definite about that.

The developers haven't said how much the chances go up, probably to avoid outcry and ridicule, and also so they can make changes when they feel like it without being committed to anything. I don't believe the increase is significant at all, and I've never had anyone say to me in game they think it is. It's probably just like EllisDee said or possibly even worse.

I agree that it's a bit much to try rounding up the best players on your server and trying to make them farm loot on r10 for you, especially if you don't know them already and can't make a good contribution yourself. It reminds me of another post like this a while back where the OP wanted someone to organise Abbot runs for him because he didn't know it but was reserving loot for himself if it dropped. Yuck.

    Thanks.

I am certainly not one of the ones the OP is speaking to, but I expect more than running R10 for the meager increased chance of getting a Reaper bonus, his post is more about getting a few people together, which vastly improves the chances of getting what he wants.

Probably better off putting up an R1 lfm, and increase it as the group can handle then.

I've gotten quite a few +4 and +3 mythic items on 2-4 skull reaper, some with reaper bonuses as well. 10 skull is all about tricking the AI, but it still takes longer.

You don't need to run 10 skull, I would just put an lfm and let people know what you are looking for. If you run 8x times there is no guarantee you get it on any skull level, but R3 is what I would suggest. Easy to fill and fast runs.
