    Default "lasting" night revels keys - consumed!!!???

    Our group have all purchased LASTING NIGHT REVELS KEYS from DDO store after last year's purchased keys disappeared in this year's (2017) Night Revels only to find that the "LASTING" keys are being consumed upon any dungeon entry!!! Would someone Please explain what is happening??? The DDO store description states, "This key grants your character access to any one of the special Night Revels dungeons in Delera's Graveyard while the Night Revels are active. The Lasting Night Revels Key never expires, BUT IS CONSUMED WHEN USED."

    Would someone please explain???? This is contradictory!!!!

    Key you get from drops in the graveyard last until you use them, or until the end of the year. Key you buy from the store last until you use them and can carry over to next year. Not expiring just means they won't automatically disappear at the end of the year like the other keys.

    Definitely a bug. Keys should not disappear while entering quests other than the ones for the event. Everyone who had it happen should bug report it.

    I've saved my Lasting keys from the past 2 years, and have had them in my inventory while in other non-event quests (specifically with a Draught of Midnight potion running), and never had one disappear before. So it must be a new bug this year.

    The key from last year was consumed entering "Haverdashed" and the one purchased today was consumed entering "The Snitch and the Lich"

    they are consumable - any of the mabar quests require and use a key

    Last year the "Lasting Night Revels Key" was never consumed when entering the night revels dungeons. We bought them from DDO Store and used the same key repeatedly. They are not permanent any more. We know the keys dropped from spawns are consumable, but the "Lasting Night Revels Key" was reusable, same as the skates from the Ice Festival.

    They weren't reusable last year either, most likely what happened is you happened to pick up some other keys on your way through the graveyard and those got used first so you never noticed.

    That wouldn't make sense for the event. It would be like if you could spend 45 TP to have the door to crystal cove never close.

    You know... not actually the same dynamic, (treasure map pieces still have to be collected, with a permanent compass), but that actually does make sense. "sigh." I suppose my memory of last year's event is faulty. Thank you all for your responses. https://www.ddo.com/forums/images/smilies/redface.png

    If you read the text describing the item (a radical and novel concept, I know ), it says...

    "Allows access to ONE of the dungeons during the event... This Lasting Key never EXPIRES, but will be CONSUMED when used..." (paraphrased, emphasis mine)

    <shrugs>
