    Default Please increase Reaper XP at cap

    Please increase Reaper XP at cap.

    It is much much slower to gain Reaper XP at cap compared to gaining Reaper XP while TRing. Please make both choices more equal.

    They don't have to be exactly equal, but please do something to increase reaper xp at cap.

    Totally agreed.


    My suggestion has always been that level 30 characters, regardless of group or quest level, should gain a +100% bonus to RXP earned.


    I doubt this would be sufficient, but it would certainly be a good start.

    I was originally for this change, but recently I am no longer so sure. Some folks are already having very short completion times on high skull legendary quests. With Ravenloft inevitable power creep, more teams might be able to complete these, even faster. Expanding the range of eligible quests to run without penalty might be a better idea.

    I believe this is what the devs are thinking, but by proxy. Introducing new legendary content in and of itself expands the range of eligible quests, which will surely be the case with Ravenloft.

    What kind of RXP/minute is available via the fast legendary quests you're thinking of? No need to name quests, just quest level and approximate time to complete would suffice.

    Even if they add more quests at end game, once you run them the reaper xp is diminished. We need a boost to reaper xp at cap or remove the penalty for re-running.
    Darkwinn, Milkus, Terismina, Gothmawg, Dreylock, Drunarah, Bigbhamboo, etc on Sarlona / Brixlynn, Mofus, Curgoth, Deidlit, etc on Ghalanda.

    there's no penalty for rerunning
    you no longer get the huge first time bonus

    one option would be to increase the daily bonus. this will reward players for running various quests rather than farming the same quest

    I actually thought the buddy bonus weekend was nice XP at cap, so a 50% increase would be a great start for me. Probably needs to be more for the highest skulls.

    We need this and the XP increase. This because whoever is at cap runs:

    - Grim and Barrett
    - Subversion
    - Memoirs
    - Tavern Brawl (not really)
    - Multitude of Menace
    - Devil's Detail
    - Graveyard Shift
    - Maybe the 3 Slave Lord's quest

    That's it. 10 quests to cycle over, and over, and over, and over. This is the "endgame" of DDO right now. All the others quests have either a penalty or they are a huge pain in the arse to run.

    Here is the thing: they already know that reaper xp at cap sucks. It is a fact that has been explained over and over. However, they don't care right now. You are not supposed to stay at cap in this game. It by design, and it is completely working as intended.

    They keep adding more and more power to trs and only someone with no experience can expect that cap items will hold its value past a few updates.

    Again, all those are conscious decisions taking by a company that has full control and understanding of the consequences of what they code.

    The only misleading part is that they claim they want and end game, and pretend they take steps towards it. Because I guess openly saying that they just want us to tr might put off some people.

    The monetization they have built kinda requires us to tr for the game to run, apparently, and there is no disadvantage brutal enough they are not willing g to code to make sure you actually do tr. throwing a bone to cap people would have been trivially easy months ago, yet they made absolutely sure that reaper at cap would not get run. First time bonuses are coded in for a reason.

    So think if ssg as a brutally honest company in their actions, although what they say might through you off a little. Just look at the actions, though, they speak very loudly.

    Ransack goes away each day. I don't think the idea should be to encourage people grinding the same single quest over and over like in Rusted Blades.

    Logging off works for me! if each quest takes 20 mins, that's over 3 hours. more than enough for my usual playtime.

    If they ever relax the overlevel penalties in epics, add Ravenloft, and maybe increase the daily bonus..

    Or maybe they could lower the first time bonus and increase base RXP instead. I don't see why first-time reaper deserves such a boost.

    False. They said on the DDOCast Ask the devs that they were going to adjust it, but just didn't have time to get it into U36. This whole thread is the same as saying "please make a Ravenloft expansion. Thanks."

    Asking them to do something they already said they are going to do.

    I do not believe it. It has been how many months since release? And they cannot find the time to adjust a formula? Please....

    I simply do not believe that they are incapable of tweaking the formula; they just don't want to do it.

    Why? That we will never know, as communication in these forums consists on some excited intern coming to chat with us; at least 99% of it.

    It wouldn't be enough.

    Not only first time bonuses are too good, but it remains more "efficient" to grind reaper XP in heroics and old content, where reaper is significantly easier. This is due to the scaling nature of reaper, which just bloats the original values in the quest.

    An easy quest remains an easier reaper.

    Of course, another issue is the synergy of reaper and racial TRs.

    All in all, the system seems to be working as intended. It pushes people towards reincarnation in a moment when a new reincarnation grind (XP grind) is introduced.

    Racial completionist is one of the worst systems ever introduced in this game, no matter how you look at it.

    For a group of 3, DPS/Caster/Healer, something like Reaper 8 Grim and Barrett would take a little over 20minutes to complete and gives something like 1,700-2,000 xp. So maybe 70-100 xp per minute. Similar numbers for Memiors, Subversion, and Multitude of Menace.

    These are without first time completions bonuses, when you TR and always have the Bravery Streak + First Time Completion so you get a 200% xp bonus; 80% Streak + 120% First Time Reaper. I think a 200% Daily Completion bonus should be in order for people who are level 30.

    As far as Ive seen bravery bonus doesnt effect RXP
