How do I TR into a Paladin of Silvanus

OK, so I want to TR from barbie into Paladin and I want to take the Silvanus deity feats. How do I do that?

I went to eveninstar, used the reincarnation grove in the forgotten realms side of the hall of heroes. Then I made darn sure I was in eveningstar when I hit the TR. But I don't get the choice for the Silvanus feats.

It doesn't matter where you TR, it matters what race you TR into. In order to use the Silvanus deity feats you need to be a Forgotten Realms race that is not Morninglord. I believe that means only Purple Dragon Knight or Shadar-Kai (I am not certain which realm the Deep Gnome is tied to).

You don't TR in the forgotten realms, you TR into a forgotten realms race. So you'd have to be a Deep Gnome, Purple Dragon Knight, or Shadar-kai. If you wanted to be a pure paladin you'd also have to use a +1 heart of wood to remove the mandatory level those three iconics have.

Well that just sucks. I don't see anywhere in the Silvanus feats description that I have to be a certain race and the U33 release notes don't say that either. What a load. I don't want to do an iconic for this TR.

OK, I rolled up a Bladeforged Paladin. Supposedly its a FR race so I should be getting the deity feats. Nope. Only choice I got was for Lord of the Blades. What am I doing wrong?

forgotten realms that are not morninglord - so shadarkai, deep gnome or pdk

But none of those races can pick paladin on creation. And from what I understand from some other reading here, you can't swap those feats. Am I wrong? Can I take PDK and then take Paladin at lvl 2 and then pick the Silvanus feat?

Yes.

Or if you wanted to be a pure paladin you could use a +1 heart of wood to change that first level from fighter to paladin. (After leveling to 15 and taking all the other levels as paladin first.)

Bladeforged is an Eberron race, not a Forgotten Realms race. (Bladeforged start in House Cannith.)
