Default Lore Tier 3 Collectibles - WAI?

Silver Flame Hymnals [SFH] - The bane to my existence when it comes to crafting.

I have had to farm SFH until the cows come home and after a while I started tracking my results.

In general when it comes to collectible you pull 1 Rare every 12 to 15 pulls, 1 uncommon for every 3 to 5 pulls and the rest are common collectibles.

That is not the case when it comes to Tier 3 Lore Collectibles.
I have pulled 1 rare for every 29 pulls, 1 uncommon for every 11 pulls and the rest are commons.

Whats even more interesting is I have been pulling a lot more of the one common than the other and when it comes to the uncommon and rares there is a 4|2|1 ratio.

    Runic Parchament - 65
    Rommantic Sonnets - 109

    House Sealed Letter - 12
    Silver Flame Hymnals - 5
    Scholarly Notes - 2

Tome: History of the Houses - 4
Tome: Lost Songs of Crye - 2
Tome: Codes of Aurum - 1

    Abishai Slaughtered - 2,400

These results reflect my historical collections (with the exception of SFH because I have always used a lot of those so I cannot say for sure.)

Thank goodness I don't have to us Scholarly Notes in an kind of volume. As I have more Tome: History of the Houses than Scholarly Notes in the bag.

Anyways to me it seems like something is not working correctly for these collectible nodes.

200 Tier 3 Lore Collectible Nodes (or more specifically one Tier 3 Collectible Node hit 200 Times over a period of 3 hours.

200 nodes in 180 minutes means over 1 minute per node. Ouch.

You can more than double that productivity by switching to Eyes of Stone, where I can sustain under 30 seconds per node. (Plus some extra arcane and natural for my efforts.)

The actual time between runs is 45(ish) seconds (including recalling, quest resets and entering the quests), however I took some Bios, beer runs, and stretching in there to keep my old falling apart body from falling apart.

Same for Eyes of Stone being under 30 seconds per node. (Depending on build, of course.)

EDIT: Regarding Silver Flame Hymnals specifically, I have not noticed them dropping at lesser rates than the other Tier 3 Lore Uncommons. I think you just got unlucky.

It's not a coincidence that my collectable valuation project ended up with SF Hymnals being the most valuable collectable in the game. They're used in desirable recipes, Lore farms are comparatively slow, and there is a massive pool of Tier 3 Lores to wade through to get the one you want.

If you don't have a build to maximize efficiency in Eyes of Stone, your best bet is probably Tomb of the Unhallowed.

See my Collectable Farms thread for efficient farming runs for any given collectable. I found the How to farm efficiently thread lacking in some key areas, one of which was Tier 3 Lore farms.
