Are there any use for the old crafting rewards like the mystical fish and such or can i delete them?

Don't take my word for it, but I think since U32 they are useless. In typical fashion though, I will hang onto them for another year or two before deleting them. Within 1 month of deleting them, the devs will come out with a new use for them.

Thanks for the reply. I have been unable to find this information anywhere. If they are useless then they should certainly NOT be offered as quest rewards anymore!

Agreed, but I would personally prefer if they made them useful.

How about if we substitute them for collectibles in certain recipes?

Default I posted this in a suggestions thread a few months ago:

Okay so I've seen a number of threads recently and some in the past asking to be able to craft a material type on items. There is a crafting system in game that does this... alchemical crafting from Cannith raids but its hardly worth the effort of using now for the narrow window of equipping it before equipping better. Then it occurred to me there is also the Stone of Change rituals that have some recipes labeled Alchemical and even some recipes that add to durability called Adamantine rituals. And finally we have these deprecated ingredients, Mystical Ingredients, which are not currently used for anything. Bringing all these concepts together, wouldn't it be great if we could use these Mystical Ingredients to add a material type to a crafting blank either in the stone of change or in Cannith Crafting?

    We have six Mystical Ingredients:
    Mystical Bottle (Red Fens)
    Mystical Dried Fish (Sorrowdusk)
    Mystical Goblet (Threnal)
    Mystical Plant (Vale)
    Mystical Urn (Necro 3 & 4)
Mystical Vessel (HiPS & Restless Isles)

We have material types: Silver, Cold Iron, Flametouched Iron, Adamantine, Crystal/Glass, Byeshk, Mithril, Darkleaf/wood.
Unless I am missing an important material type that means we are short two Mystical ingredients... I would suggest Mystical Ham or Bacon and Mystical Gem (maybe for laughs you could very rarely get the gem from Stealthy Repossession). Each Mystical Ingredient then could be paired with a recipe to add that material to a crafting blank either in addition to original material or in place of original material.

So what do you think? Nifty idea? or not?

    I like it a lot.

I wouldn't lose sleep over having 6 ingredients and 8 recipes. There's no reason you can't combine them. Something like:

Silver: 5 vale marks + 5 necro marks
Cold Iron: 5 threnal marks + 5 sorrowdusk marks
    Flametouched Iron:
    Adamantine:
    Byeshk:
Crystal: 5 threnal marks + 5 fens marks
    Mithril: 10 restless marks
    Darkleaf:

Fill in the rest. The above are just the ones that jumped out to me.

I cannot support any additions to the stone of change until they add a barter ui.

You missed Darkwood and Densewood for staves, bows, shields, ect. I would drop the Mithral from being used on weapons, it should be metalline only for that.

I hear you. But it doesn't have to be Stone of Change. Could all be done with an addition to Cannith Crafting with recipes to make MATERIAL shards in the Bound and Unbound devices and recipes allowing/disallowing those shards to be crafted on the proper items/blanks same as any other recipes.

I said items not specifically weapons or weapons alone, I did miss densewood, thank you, but I referred to Darkwood with Darkleaf/wood that being Darkleaf for armor and Darkwood for weapons. If they did it as an addition to Cannith Crafting they could just allow the Mithril Shard to apply to metal armors and shields only, exactly the same as any recipe because they all have parameters detailing on what items and where they are allowed to be crafted.
