HELP! Haven't played in a while and having an issue

Hi there! I haven't played in a pretty long time, but I am trying to add a diamond stat into my epic torque. I have also tried to add it to another item in hopes it would work and still no luck. What am I doing wrong?

The augment system got revamped a few years ago, and is not compatible with old epic items. (Old epic items used to be the only gear with augment slots.)

You can convert your old epic gear into new epic gear so you can slot augments into them. IIRC, put your old epic item in the epic altar and add 50 dragonshards. (Yellows, maybe?)
