Keymapping.

I recently screwed up my character's keymapping by setting some random thing to left-click. By trial and error from the last 5 times this happened, I now know that this means that I have to either double-click on everything forever, or quit the client, set the keymapping to default and redo it all. However, because this has happened 5 times before, I made sure to have a backup of my old keymapping that I could copy-paste in. However, the pasted keymapping would not save. I would close the keymapping file, open the client again, see that the keymapping hadn't worked, look at the keymapping file again, see the default version... I can't redo the keymapping from within the game because I set multiple meta-keys and my playstyle doesn't really work without them. What can I do?

Try going in to Options [ctl+o] and, at bottom (of one of the tabs?), should be "restore defaults". See if that helps.

Just to be clear, you're closing the client completely -- not just logging off -- and then with the client completely closed you copy the backup keymapping file (ddo.keymap) into the Dungeons and Dragons Online folder under My Documents, choosing yes when asked to overwrite the existing file?

I'm having the same issue. If I change it to how I used to have it, the mouse just stops working and I can't open menus or anything.

I clicked in game in the options tab and then keymapping tab, then i selected Default and it went back to what I used to have.
