    Default Assassins are assassinated again.

    No assassination DC & sneak attack again in reaper tree.
    Since U28 assassins have 0 gear that improves DC, but spell casters have 6 universal, 3 insightful, 2 quality, 4 artifact bonus for UNIVERSAL DC, not single focus DC. And you would give casters 7 more DC from reaper tree, but 0 DC for assassins.
    Do you finally decide to erase assassins from universe?

    There's another downside for assassins in the recent changes. You forgot to mention that none of the new categories of champions are vulnerable to poison damage.

    Give the monsters the trees. Players put points in and give buffs. As we progress reaper gets harder....

    This doesn't sound right. For example, Cannith Crafting was introduced in update 32 and lets you craft assassinate +7 gloves of insightful assassinate +3.

    Both assassination +7 & +3 insightful assassination gears existed before U28 or cannith crafting.

    But, UNIVERSAL(all school) spell DC gears didn't. ONLY SPECIFIC spell school DC +7, and ONLY SPECIFIC spell school insightful DC +3 gear existed for casters before introducing eTS armor(Universal insightful +3) & slaver DC(Universal +6 for spell mastery, and Universal artifact +4 for 5 set) gear, Universal quality +2 from orb or ring.

    And any spell DC scion feats give +4 for specific spell DC & "+2 UNIVERSAL" spell DC.
    But, assassins are forced to choose 4 DC or DPS for scion feat.

    The guy who is so concerned about ender set and instakills on the main forum is now here complaining about assassins and their dcs. So let me get this strait if something might kill something that you dont like, its gotta go, but if its your chosen class and you dont get to kill things like you think you should complain about not getting your dcs. Wow what a case of I want what I play to be the only thing.

    But, what he says about lack of new reaper enhancements boosting assassinate dc is in fact true while all other dc's get a boost (excluding QP). Assassinate was also missed out on being included in Slavers crafting.

    the reaper trees need to go

    assassins are in a tough place--a lot of champs now have deathblock & true sight. Reaper demands a minimum of kills, so stealth takes a hit. Aggro changes made a big mess although their are plans for an adjustment.

    It is quite annoying that they didn't give assassin's a dc boost in the tactics enhancements of the Reaper Weapons tree. That being said I still have no issue getting my dc's up high enough without the Reaper Trees to be effective in Reaper. Using Slaver's, Cannith Crafting, and LGS I sit at an unbuffed 98 assassinate. That's high enough to work in reaper for me. It's a grind, but assassin's haven't been completely forgotten.

    Casters might get 110~120+ ranged multiple instakills in reaper. With reliable CC. I already tested both assassin & wizard. Their performance was Very different. Wizard could instakilled even tough types from a distance with better DC, but assassin couldn't.
    IMO, there is no reason to play assassin in reaper anymore. Far more dangerous, because an assassin should be in melee range in reaper, but had far weaker instakill. That means failing to assassinate more.

    This has been an interesting thread. It seems like the developers are not doing a very good job of balancing offensive power relative to ease of play and ability to stay safe between different builds.

    The advantages certain builds have from killing at a distance and being able to exploit the AI are very exaggerated in harder content. Although it's hard to quantify how this could be balanced, the fact that it is way out of balance right now is very obvious. It needs more discussion and work.

    It's always been dangerous to play an assassin. But, the risk to the reward ratio is worth it in reaper. If anything reaper forces you to play more like an assassin than the other content. Most of the endgame is a joke and there is no need for stealth; you can run around like a fighter beating stuff without repercussions. Now, you have to utilize the skills of the assassin to support your group. There are downsides to assassin that make no sense (assassinate not working on deathwarded mobs?); but it still is viable dps, instakiller, and trapper. With time things will balance out and classes will even out. I'm not gonna give up on my toon that I worked for so long to build because of some imbalances in game.
