Why Bard for level 1 m8? Wouldn't Rogue be better for the skill points or am I missing something?

Feats are tight; starting with bard lets him take a metamagic at lvl 1. If he started with rogue, he could take SWF but then need a filler feat since neither a metamagic, Precision, nor Shield Mastery could be taken w/just rogue. He got that idea from me.

Looking at one minor detail. In the farming video's, I keep seeing what looks like Leap of Faith, including the icon on the #20 slot 2 hotkey bar but I don't see it in the build. Have some guesses, but I'll just ask - what am I missing for the source of that mixed into that list of enhancements/epic destinies?

I switch to Exalted Angel for collectable farming just for the wings. (Combat isn't needed for collectable farming.) The one exception, I think, is terminal delirium, where I may be in either fatesinger for more dps or shadowdancer for immunity to level drain. I can't really remember offhand.

You should be able to see my active destiny at the bottom of the screen for any given collectable farming video.

I love this guy's speed and survivability. I built one to farm Cannith Challenges and now I'm trying the build out on the hardcore server. Should I drop a feat to take the new 'Swords into Plowshares' feat? If so, which one?

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Feats are pretty tight on this build and I can't see anything you would possibly want to drop for it. Add to this due to Exploit Weakness (T5 Swash) we already get bonuses to crit range until we crit then it resets. Overall I don't see the need for it but YMMV.

I would drop Kama Proficiency to fit it in and use sickles instead, but that's probably not the answer you're looking for.

If sticking with kamas, I wouldn't take Swords to Plowshares because I wouldn't want to replace any of the dps feats -- SWF line, Shield line, improved critical -- leaving only Extend and Kama Proficiency as possible swap-outs. You don't have BAB 4 when extend is taken so it can't go there, leaving only Kama prof at 6.

(In fact, BAB prereqs are tricky with this build; many of the feats taken cannot be taken in any other feat slot because of it.)

If you're going beyond level 21, you do get another feat at 24 so maybe take it there instead of overwhelming critical or whatever epic bard feat there is? (EDIT: Wiki says it's Inspire Excellence.)

Iirc, DPS is not lacking for this build's job. You can level it up slowly and safely, and then it doesn't have to be a killer, just a farmer. Swords into Plowshares would be nice (moar DPS is always "nice", esp for HCL), but it's not the priority here.

(And afaic, Necro's are fine when OT, and this is. Not like it'd help to have everyone start a new thread to talk about making a small tweak updating a popular build. Imo.)

Thanks everyone for your replies. Stoner81, you're right. I had completely forgotten about Exploit Weakness. Since Swords into Plowshares just adds to the crit. range for kamas and not to the multiplier there's no need for it once you have the T5 enhancement.

So far he's been doing very well in Hardcore. I'm sure that's attributable about 60% to the solid build, 39% to my completely risk-adverse play style and 1% to my awesome player skills.

Finally reached level 21 today at last! Time to start gearing up is there anything from Sharn or Ravenloft that would be an improvement over the gear setup currently?

I think I kept it "as is" really, the only difference I know at atm is that my buckler has a blue slot and for range I used Epic Noxious Fang since I already had from a previous life but that is about it.

EDIT - I think my ED layout is completely different since I can't find Allure anywhere so I am assuming that the ED was updated/altered at some point. I also can't seem to reach 13 sprint boosts, I have 11 currently so no idea how I am missing 2.

EDIT - I don't have the Concert Hall ship buff out atm so that is one I am missing. To be honest though 11 is pretty decent and in a recent mansion run I only used about 4 or so. I will say though, now that she has the full gear (almost), her DPS is insane! Bosses just melt.

Got mine all geared up now just in the process of upgrading the Spare Hand and the Blasting Chime. Speaking of the Blasting Chime does anybody know if it's broken in regards to Anthem? I don't seem to see my songs recharging unless it takes a reeeeeeeally long time or something.

I believe you are correct I just can't remember what they were oh well it's not really a problem anyway since Deathblock and Deathward fix that problem

Been a while since I did anything with this character but I thought I would mention that now that we can get +1 epic destiny points to spend it can be used to get a free version of Extend Spell. I did so and swapped it out for Improved Shield Bash since I couldn't really find anything else worth taking unless anybody else has any ideas.

I was also eyeing up the Borderlands weapons but they don't(?) even come close to the Brush Hook due to crit range so I am sticking with it. It is worth noting though that at some point I will probably add the hardness ritual from the Stone of Change since it seems to break quite easily especially after extended play.

The recent augment revamp has also been quite a boost to a number of the augments used which is very nice indeed

Finally fully finished this character! All ED's are maxed and threw in the epic past life feat Doublestrike x3 since why not. All her gear is done with some empty slots left to look at but that's about it. Time to switch back to my main now and continue the grind there.

I did have a thought of using Feydark Illusionist for the Shdowblades and getting CHA for to-hit and damage but I have no idea how it compares to the Brush Hook. Easy way to get it would be to pull the points from the Human tree and be done with it.
