Anyway, I told them never mind, and I just uninstalled the game. Problem solved, in that there are no login problems when you don't have a game to log into. I've quite enjoyed the past six weeks of no DDO.
This week I added a second hard drive to my computer so I could isolate Windows and programs on C:, moving all my data to D:. With all the new space to play with I figured what the heck and downloaded the lama client, but apparently it's already closed. Then for fun I tried stoner's alternate game install, and that appears to work. So now I can technically play the game again, which is good if only so that I can update my planner when the Kensei changes go live.
Other than that, it's up in the air whether I'll resume playing in any meaningful way.
