Default Best place to farm Beholders for 1600 kills?

I have recently gotten back into DDO quite a bit, and one thing I've never put much thought or effort into is the Monster Manual. However, I need that Beholder pet you get for 1600 account kills. Is there any specific quest that is the best place to farm beholder kills towards that end? I'm not looking to grind out 1000 kills in one day, but if I have a specific place in mind to hop into every now and then to start chipping away, that would be great.

    Ones I'd think of:
VON3 - If you do alot of heroic leveling, you get a bunch along the way here already. I think it's 7-ish? Not a farm per se, but along the way of getting xp.
Invaders has a reasonable number and is fast if epic leveling.
Lord of Eyes is pretty good.
Acute delerium has a fair number of respawning beholders. They're mixed in with other mobs though.
HoX has a fair number of them. Go in heroic casual and you should be able to take out a fair number of the respawns?
Delerium - The start has a few boozers.
Subterraine has quite a few, but they're scattered.

Do those little Evil Eyes in Lord of Eyes count as Beholder kills? I am pretty sure they do (I remember getting a monster manual XP reward killing those once) , so if so that might be the best choice.

I don't believe they do, but I might be wrong. I think your best bet is acute delerium since they respawn, although slower than we'd all like.

those loose eye balls don't count however some of these quests do have beholders, someone might have killed one while you were killing a eyeball and got you your slayer.

    some corrections
von 3 is a decent option if you're epic tr-ing, it's on many peoples daily run list.
invaders is a heroic only (12 on normal) and has only a fixed number (though hounds and renders respawn at portals)
Acute Delirium has respawning mobs but can be tedious.
HoX is actually a decent idea, have a buddy tank while you roam and get kills (or vice versa), getting there takes a while though.
    Delirium is slow for farming.
Subterrane might be to vast for efficient farming.

I was thinking Acute Delirium and Invaders! myself. There are a number of quests that also have like one or two of them. VON 2 has three, Dreams of Insanity has respawning beholders at the end of the quest, etc.. Good luck on your hunt!!

If you are in the mindset of daily runs I would say to just hit the 3 beholders in Vons 2. Doing one run a day or just doing a run while you are waiting for a party to fill will get you there over time.

Dreams of insanity is decent. When you desire to kill them as they spawn you have that option, killing for as long as you desire. When you need to afk for other things you just walk down the hall and take your afk. This is faster, but very mind numbing.

Doing an invaders run when nothing is going on is the best option IMO. One fast run in there in addition to the vons 2 run can be done whenever you have a few minutes to kill.

Last option would be to kill the drunks at the bar. Those beholders require nothing to get to, and can fit several runs in over a short time.

*edit in* dance fight beholders? full party grants 6 re-spawning every so many seconds and i think if you do not dance against them that it is near endless if you kill them fast.

I would have a sig, but Someone might be offended by it so I will just list characters.
Vicinity, Proximity, and far to many bank toons too list.
-Sorry to any bank toons that are offended by me not listing mine-

I'm pretty sure HoX would be your best bet.

I think the end portal in Dreams of Insanity respawns beholders until the runes are all hit. You could presumably farm them there, but I'd rather do... anything else. :-)

I'd suggest learning the quickest route to the Eye Tyrant Council in the Subterrane.

There's 5 or 6 beholders in that one small room and one of them can be a rare red-named boss.

Just make sure you're a BF or WF though.

There's the portal at the end of Dreams of Insanity with the rafters up above... Once you clear the cultists the only remaining threats in the room are the endlessly spawning beholders and hounds and if you're up in the rafters then they don't see you. If you were fairly high level and had a strong hire/dog/wolf, you could put your hire down below and let them kill the beholders for you while you hung out up top where it's safe and just went AFK for a while.

If you were premium you'd have to wiggle the mouse every twenty minutes so you didn't get kicked for being AFK. You'd probably want to check in anyway though, just to make sure that your hire isn't dead.

This could very likely be done with a disposable iconic. I'm thinking 14/1 Wizard/Anything, since wizard skeleton pets are natively immune to level drain and death spells, plus they have high fortitude to muscle through disintegration.

Acute Delirium is 5 kills much faster than any route you can take to the council.

BTW, if you want to farm Acute Delirium, be sure you can still quickly dispatch the boozers on elite. Going on Casual make them easier, but it takes forever for your bar corner to fill with booze and you lose the bet before you can actually attack them. On elite your corner fill in about ten seconds if you do not drink anything.

I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Kensai, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

Well I'm not sure an epic raid is the best place to lazily farm kills :P
