    Unhappy Vendor gone already??

I don't play all of the festivals so maybe this is normal. The ones I have done, though, the vendor has remained for a week or so to let players finish trading in their items. I assumed that was to account for those who could not log in on the last day or 2 of the event. As an example, one of the events had vendors you had to jump across floating pillars over the guild purchase area in house K and over the tavern in the harbor. Those seemed to hang around forever.

Today, I log in to finish spending my items, and the vendor is already gone. I tried looking through the rest of house J, house K, the Marketplace and the Harbour but if there was still a vendor around, I did not see it. I find that quite surprising. As I have not really done many festivals, is this the usual behaviour? Was I just lucky and happened to hit the only ones where the vendors stayed around for a while after the event was over?

I wouldn't mind quite as much if the collectables stayed until next year, but now I have several thousand that will disappear without having the chance to spend them. I like some extra time to decide which things to get that are worth the cost in collectables. A short grace period for people not able to log in right at the end of the event, especially if called away suddenly would be nice, and I thought from other events that this was what we would get. If I always have to spend everything I collect the same day I get it, in case I may not be able to log on the next day, it takes away the chance to actually think about what I want, and how badly I want it.

I know most players probably won't care. For me, though, it makes the event far less enjoyable and not worth the stress and hassle.

    Thanks for reading,

Yeah, I wish they would give people in this circumstance a little leeway. This is why i try to get the stuff i want within the first week or so of the event. Grind the s*it out of it the first week then turn in asap in case something pops up and the devs do take the trader down before you get a chance to spend collectibles

That one event (Festivult) is unusual in a couple ways. It's the only one where the vendor hangs around after the event is over, and it's also widely considered useless and to be ignored.

Risia, Crystal Cove, old Mabar and new Night Revels are all consistent in that as soon as the event ends, the vendor is gone.

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be able to spend your leftover ingredients when the event returns next year.

As Ellis said, it is standard for the vendor to leave with the festival. It's a poor policy imo. Let us spend our time during the event actually running the event, then leave the vendor around for at least a couple days (a week seems ideal). This is even more important with the Night Revels because the ingredients will disappear. This suggestion was brought up several times before the event, but Turbine never responded to it, and obviously didn't listen to it. Sorry you got Turbined kuroboshi.
