Delara's Graveyard Playtests from Sarlona for CR 12-17

Greetings,

There are lots of threads flying around with lots of information.

In this thread I will post my daily/nightly results after a 1 hour run through Delara's Graveyard looking for keys and chocolates.

Basically every day, if possible, while the event is on I will run the same toon through CR 12-17 and post the results here. I will run solo and will not be using any Droughts of Midnight.

Likewise, to get the 1st timer experience at this level I rolled up a new L15 Iconic for the task. I am doing the 4 challenges with the same toon as well to collect materials from them.

The fifth key from tonight's slayer run got me an end chest that dropped a +2 tome in Snitch and the Litch. I dig it, because this is a fresh toon and this is now my first tome for it

For comparison, I farm 8 keys each night in a two-man party: Me and my dual-box. Then run a single circuit of challenges with both of them.

The longest it's taken me to farm 8 keys (between both alts) is 35 minutes. Not sure the shortest; possibly 12-15 minutes.

This was my best key night solo. However, there were oodles of people in CR 12-17 tonight. Not sure if that made an impact or not.

Also, I've been running Night Revels on a variety of toons. I did find on my other toons that I got larger amounts 2 peopling. And I was in a 4 person PUG that got a nice haul as well.

Likewise with this toon (an my others) I run the circuit of challenges at least 2x each before bedtime.

EDIT ~ I forgot to mention that I noticed tonight on 4 seperate occasions that I got both a key and a chocolate from a single kill.

I'm wrapping up the project early. I completed all my goals for this account. I got 3x Spooky INT augments, 1x Spooky WIS augment, and 1 x Halloween Pumkin Head (hat cosmetic). Also, I got other new stuffs as well, but those were the main items that I wanted.

Basically I had enough keys for the number of runs needed to do to complete the above items. I don't need to farm anymore keys and spent the last 2 days using the collected keys to get the materials.

You want to spend the unbound keys, because they will go away. However, the store bought keys won't disappear. Likewise, I spent the left over chocolates on 80 Pumkin Head grenades

It appears that I had really bad luck at the start with getting keys from Delara's Graveyard.

Some other observations from this project. First, my favorite toon for farming keys was the one from this play test and I enjoyed running the challenges with it too. Sun Elf Warlock (Fiend pact).

Next, I maxed my return on materials by running the challenges 5 levels higher than my toon. For example, on my L28 warlock I ran the challenges on CR 33 and got 23 ingredients per completion. Thus, 1 augment requires 16 keys (4 runs of each challenge). I needed 80 of each ingredient.

After a week of casual play on a new 1st life Iconic toon I had a good time. Whether a placebo or not regarding the rate increase, I feel the amount of grind that it took to accomplish my goals was OK in the end. I'm very pleased with the outcomes.

Of course the event could use some more polish, but I want to thank DDO for a wonderful event. I look forward to running it again the next time Night Revel's comes around.
