    Default Negative energy Greensteel weapon

Just for grins, I crafted a Tier 3 Negative Energy Greensteel Heavy Mace. Which of the enemies we face is this weapon good against? I tried it agains Eladrin, and they took some extra damage but they also have resistance to evil, so it wasn't much extra. It does have some other nice features, like Slay Living and Negative Energy Absorption. I am just curious if anyone else has found this weapon useful.

Some eladrin require cold iron + evil to break dr.

The weapon that you crafted, an absorbtion item, its more or less useless.

    sorry to tell you that

Not sure what you crafted, but negative energy isn't evil:

Evil damage: Harms good creatures, and some flavors also harm neutral creatures
Negative Energy Damage: Harms living creatures, heals undead

Negative energy is a great all-purpose damage type because so many enemies are alive. The wizard spell Necrotic Ray does pretty good negative energy damage and is great for any mob that isn't undead or a pure construct. (Except metal dogs. For some reason, negative energy hurts metal dogs.) The downside is that deathward completely negates negative energy damage.

Evil damage, by contrast, is poor because it may not hurt anything you face outside of a handful of quests. Like the weapon prefix Unholy, which doesn't hurt neutral or evil creatures.

Can you post a screenshot? I am pretty sure there is no way to craft Negative Energy GS weapons. You can craft Unholy (T1), Evil Burst (T2), and Evil Blast (T3) -- and yes, they are fairly useless. Unholy affects only good enemies; Evil Burst/Blast may also affect neutrals, I am not sure.
