Default Need a spot of advice.

I have a 1st life toaster druid (caster) who is fast(!!) approaching lv20 and I could do with some advice on which ED to go with. Having read through the forums , I have read that I should 1) totally go Shiradi, 2) totally go Primal or 3) totally go Fury. My gut feeling is that whilst primal looks like it should be the "Druids Choice" , Shiradi will work better with my character.

Please can I have some advice? Thanks in advance.

Some others may come in with specific pros & cons, but IMO that bit you wrote right there^ should be your guiding light.

    Agreed.

More to the point, destinies are quick to max out and easily changed so try them all yourself and see which one you like better. They're all in the same sphere so you won't even have to traverse the map to unlock them.

Try this: It takes 6.6 million epic xp to go from 20 to 28. It takes a hair shy of 6 million xp to cap three destinies. So cap all three on your way from 20 to 28 and then make your decision.

Shiradi definitely a solid choice for caster druid. There are some fire/light spec'd caster druids doing Exalted Angel.

Without magic missile or a similar multi hit, cheap, spamable spell, shiradi is really not that good. Yeah many people playing caster druid do it, but meh.

I second the exalted angel suggestion with a focus on fire and light. With empyrean magic from crusader twisted in and maybe a few bits from draconic.

I found that my caster druid is pretty solid in Divine Crusader destiny.

Consecration is great for both healing and damaging- cast earthquake, ice storm to slow enemies down, then blind them with sunburst and then use acid rain and consecration to finish them. Also, Empyrean Magic is excellent, it gives you +10% critical chance...

If you are fire druid, you can also use aura for damaging enemies, so both elemental form have their own benefits...

Primal Avatar is good for boosting attack and defence of you hirelings/pets, but it lacks some casting potential- Tsunami has great description, but it is not so great in game... Chill of Winter is great for slowing down enemies...

Shiradi is better for caster, but i prefer Primal, because of pet/hireling boosts...

For twists, I use ones that boost evocation DC.

One destiny I still have to check is Exalted Angel. I think it's great for undeads, so I'll hope I'm not wrong
