    * for me, personally, stormhorns chain is still great fun despite many many many reruns.
    * wheloon quest arc not quite as much but I still rerun for sagas without it feeling grindish/boring.

*having both expansions offers full estar sagas to a vip already having access to highroad and druids deep. (since OP has missed out on anniversary card event, +3skill tomes from epic sagas are of interest)
    * stormhorns explorer is arguably the most beautifully done slayer area graphically and size wise.
    * a lot of the standard quest npc reward items are highly interesting to the OP as a returning player looking to catch up on lootgrind to cap efficiently.
    * the named items dropping in quest are also partially very nice, though admittedly somewhat devalued by epic necro4 gear
    * the wondrous craftsmanship lootgen in chain rewards can be nice (though on epics, as above, pretty much devalued due to necro4 - still occasionally nice heroic twink gear though)
*added diversity of available quests in the lvl15-19 range due to heroic versions of quest chains

    ---
    * admittedly the wheloon purple haze graphics effect is annoying still, even when tweaked down as much as possible in gfx settings

So I got the expansion about an hour ago and got some epic destiny stuff.

Then I ran epic devils assault solo in the market (I think that's what it's called) and I'd just like to say I freakin LOVE this game!!!

    Why did I leave?

My lil dwarf barb was hitting very hard, and after going to spend my epic destiny APs I looked at the ED tree for....Fury of the Wild and man, the future is looking good.

    So, more questions.

I took some sort of tokens for my end reward. Valor? I can't remember, sorry, but it looks like I can turn them in for uber pots or save them for reincarnation hearts. Which is pretty cool, but I also have a birthday cake that I can get similar tokens from but I'm not sure if they're worth taking. Any advice there? Heroic tokens of valor iirc. I can check when I get back on for sure.

Once again thanks for all your help guys.

The commencastions are very useful for getting epic past lives. You need 4200 of them for a heart, though, so you wont be getting many other end rewards if you wish to ETR in a hurry. But if you want to or not, thats up to you. The rewards are pretty good, though.

the comms are useful, but once you reach level cap at 28 you will get the option to get 2 heartseeds per quest/day, so its effectively possible to grind out an ETR heart in 21 quests at cap. (100 of those comms can be converted to 1 heartseed, of which in turn it takes 42 for an epic heart) thus, no need to always always chose the comms over guild renown or the occasionally useful item

(a mix of taking comms whenever nothing else is in the list, and then farming remaining seeds at cap works pretty well)

    That's a great point.

Saga rewards include large xp amounts; if you do all epic sagas on epic elite, then turn them in with a decent pot running, it's worth something crazy like 1.2 million xp. (I dunno; never done it myself.) So what heavy ETR-ers like to do is run all saga quests on EE at least once before ETRing, then as soon as they finish ETRing back at 20 they collect all the saga rewards and immediately shoot up to level 22 or 23, allowing fast access to higher-ML gear.

If you don't have Shadowfell, it will seem like you can't do any sagas at all.

I figure I'd just keep posting questions here rather than new threads.

PDK comms; as far as I can tell I'll get 3 comms as an end reward after doing a four part quest chain. But my question is; Is that static? By that I mean if I run that on heroic solo difficulty will I get 3 comms and if I run it on EE will I get 3 comms? I assume with it being an end reward it'll be static like that or is it a % chance of them showing up on the rewards list?

And I appreciate all the hard work that goes into the Wiki and I've been educated to an extent by it but I do feel it lacks some basic info that I've had to google search elsewhere for the answers. Maybe one day I'll see if I can add some additional info that would've been helpful to me.

Static. Always 3 tokens. As that gear is ML:20, it's a nice way to get enough tokens even before you hit 20.

IMO best way to get comms is to do Kings Forest wilderness area random encounters, just run around with your map open and they appear on it if you get close enough. Easy to do with a group that has variety of skills that some of these require.

You can also change comms to other types of comms with 3 to 1 exchange rate.

This. There are also a few random encounters that spawn pretty close to the two area entrance points, so you can just check these area, recall and repeat, rather than run around the huge map, which is a waste of time.

    Hi again,

    Fortification.

I'm seeing items drop with 110, 115% fort. Now, I'm assuming we've mobs who loser our fort now.

So, where does my pure barbs fort absolutely need to be?

    Reincarnating.

    Couple of questions.

    1) Can I True Reincarnate any time after level 20? Or do I have to cap at 28?
    2) Can I TR into an iconic class and start at 15?
    3) And if I do reincarnate to an iconic class can I then TR again into another iconic class and start at 15 again? Or would I have to TR back to a non-Iconic and then level back to 20/28? (Ok, the info I had was iconics could TR once they got to cap, I wasn't sure if cap meant 20 or 28, but I've just found that info...you have to level to 28 before you can TR)

Just to clarify on this...I know it was confusing for me also when it first came out. There are 3 different TR options:

    1) Heroic TR can be done anytime after reaching level 20. You can become level 1 again, or iconic (xp to reach lvl 15) with Heroic TR. edit: If you are an Iconic class, you cannot Heroic TR.
    2) Epic TR can only be performed when at cap (lvl 28), and will return you to lvl 20.
    3) Iconic TR can only by performed when at cap (lvl 28), and you will return to lvl 1 with option to be heroic class (no xp) or iconic class (enough xp to reach lvl 15).

I found the wiki actually quite helpful on this.

Any mob that can sneak attack automatically / always bypasses a % of your fortification equal to its CR. Which mobs can sneak attack? Best to just assume they all can. So like a CR53 mob will bypass 53% of your fort. I think mobs go up to around CR70 or 80 now; I'd say shoot for at least 150% fort at cap, preferably more. The training wheels jump-start to this would be twisting in Brace For Impact from Unyielding Sentinel, which gives +2 to all saves and a stacking +40% fortification.

As for true reincarnation, I think of it this way: You reincarnate OUT of a life, not into one.

    - To reincarnate OUT of an iconic life, you must get to level cap, which is currently 28. This is called Iconic TR.
    - To reincarnate OUT of a regular (not iconic) life, you only need to get to level 20, and can do it any time after. This is the old-style TR, maybe called Heroic TR?

Regardless which type of life you're reincarnating out of, you can reincarnate INTO either type: Heroic or Iconic. TRing INTO an iconic lets you start at 15, but of course you have to get all the way to 28.

Additionally, there is a second layer called Epic Reincarnation. This requires being fully capped, at level 28. (Plus 6 million karma in a destiny sphere.) Epic Reincarnation is essentially a lesser reincarnation that leaves you back at level 20; you reselect all your stats/skill/feats/enhancements for the first 20 levels just like using a lesser heart. You get a epic past life feat.

You can combine epic with either heroic or iconic to double-dip: Iconic gives you both the epic and iconic past life in one shot. For heroic, you can go to 28, epic reincarnate back down to 20, then immediately heroic reincarnate back to 1.

Hey...I'm not sure if you got one or not...but check your characters for a Raider's Reward Box. Each Character might have one. You will like what you see inside.

Hi. Yes. I do have raiders reward boxes. I'm holding off on using them because I don't know what comms of heroism are used for. So I want to find out that first before I choose my reward.

If anyone knows what they're for and if 5 of them are a decent amount can you clue me in? DDO wiki tells me the same as the ingame info.

Also, on one of my epic destiny feats it says "This effect scales with 100% melee power" or something similar. It's for a heal over time effect in my barb.

Can someone explain that sentence to me?

    Thanks!

COH are used to update CitW weaponry and make Dragonscale armors - probably some
other uses which escape my memory. I thought ddowiki was pretty good here. For instance,
lookup Cleaver and Flawless Black Scale and it should talk about the upgrade. You also need
400 PDK favour to upgrade CitW weaponry.

For the latter, it means the effect is modified by your MP. For instance if your healing gave you 10hp
and you MP was 150 you get 25hp (base * (1 + MP/100)). That result is then also affected by
your healing amp. Not sure which is first, I don't play many fleshies, but I'm assuming HA is applied
last as with most other things.

You should probably pick a weapon over the commendations of valor. Commendations can be obtained in the Fall of Truth Raid (Guaranteed drop) and CITW raid (Not Guaranteed drop). Weapons would be much harder to obtain in the CITW raid.

Best weapons IMO in that box would be:

Balizarde - Rapier with expanded crit profile
    Clever - Great Axe
Pinion - One of the top Bows in game (along side TF)
Agony - very nice dagger...especially in the hands of an Assassin.

I also like Celestia - It is supposed to break most if not all DR in game (Although this can be messed up by enhancements and destinies). Also, it will blind almost everything in game with a very high proc rate. Blind Casters turn into very weak melee NPC's.

    That's what I needed. Thanks.

So I'll get the greataxe on my dwarf when I get home and give some move a tickle, see how it goes.

    Thanks!

And I have a rapier using TWF ranger...he might want the how and the rapier...that'd be unfortunate.
