No, it's a selectable list, choose one. The reason I limited it to just those pots and not others that could conceivably be useful, like stat or spell power potions, is to serve as hint that any potions you see in this list you might want to keep in your inventory at all times for pretty much all characters.
But what I had proposed was a non-selectable list.
My reason for proposing those potions is exactly the same and the reason for the non-selectable list is because if you select one of them, you won't have the others in your inventory at all times... (doesn't that make sense?) You want to show the new player that you need to have all of those to protect you from various circumstances, not just one of them.
If you only wanted to tell them "keep those in your inv at all times" without giving them all the potions, then you might as well just have a picture of those as the saga reward and no potions (the gallery collectors would surely do the saga)

I love the idea of a Saga. I still think we need an entire new low level area - well, you know the level 1-14 area which they were working backwards in Eveningstar but stopped. A saga in and of itself is not enough but it could help.
Now that we are back using Greyhawk content, could we use Keep on the Borderlands and other old modules (like A1-4) working the way up to fill that content level with a 2nd starter area?
The devs indicated in the last DDOCast that clickies are not something they are looking to reintroduce any time soon - at least the way I heard it. You can, rumor says, still get clickie items turning in coins to the vendor in Menechtauran.
With regard to Fran's loot suggestion and the vet griping about +1 / +2 tomes - I hear a lot of sour gripes and "I had to walk 10 miles uphill both ways" sentiment. Give players a taste of of great loot - not mediocre loot. That is the hook. Named items at low levels (1-5) should be tagged higher chance to fall for 1st life characters as well. If you can tag for new to the game, do that.
New players, young players, want success early to be enticed to stay. Make 'em grind from level 1? You will lose them. Oh, wait, we do.
Additionally, with regard to pots, there should be a pack of pots including those listed by Faltout, for EVERY 1st life character "fresh off the boat" upon finishing Korthos WITH their named gear. Designate them 'starter' like the cure minor wounds pots if deemed necessary. The reality for many new players is that may not join a guild for a while, if ever, before their experience runs sour. Keep 'em playing.

Ahh ok. In any event, I am less concerned about the rewards. I want the saga more to help new players navigate the complexity of the locations of the harbor quests.
I suppose it could even be a treasure chest next to the saga-giver; the chest opens and then a few randomly generated items from Ellisdee's list would appear there.
Thanks cdbd3rd; I had no idea! Corrected!

Well, I think the tomes are fine. I give my away +1 tomes when I can find a taker (rarely), or I list them really low on the plat AH. The problem with the AH is I can never be sure some vet AH money manager grabs 'em and re-lists them on the AS AH or on the plat AH for ridiculous amounts someone new to the game cannot afford. So, if I can't give 'em away in group, I have been crunching them in CC.
I think the pot list from Faltout would be better for 1-5. I think a mid-level saga (6-12?) for 1st life (or new, if it can be tagged) players with the pots Fran mentioned would be ok.
