I would not be mad if ghost touch was replaced with ghostbane and moved to the suffix spot, and striding was updated to the much more desirable speed effect. Ghost Touch seems like such a waste of a prefix now. Crafting needs to be updated badly, but I doubt we'll see it unless it's a premium buy. That being said, I'll happily buy it immediately and give Turbine some money.

I craft ghost touch weapons every non-paladin melee life: +1 Ghost Touch Flametouched Iron of Undead Bane (ML6 with masterful). Though I suppose I wouldn't be hurt at all by changing ghost touch as a prefix to ghostbane as a suffix, provided the ghostbane gave me the same +2 + +2d6 for +3 potential. Then I could just do +1 flametouched of ghostbane and call it done.

The problem with replacing ghost touch with ghostbane is that there are many different ghostbane levels, but only one (very low) ghost touch level.

Heh, I haven't TR'd anything yet and and I still find Cannith crafting useful, to reduce my dependence on random loot and hard-to-get named items.

I mean, on some characters I've been able to craft +10 search and disable before winning a single auction on those or better or finding any myself.

And being able to craft those means I don't have to allocate storage space for them.

There isnt really a standard for me: I go for more generic and reusable stuff mostly

+ stat items with good min levels
    + hp/sp items
    + fortification (heavy from lvl7)
    + all saves item

    + clickies
+ bta and or event gear
+ random gear to fill in slots, eg: +5-6 deadly

Deathblock can go into a yellow augment slot. Currently it is slotted in my +6 STR ring.

Specialized gear will always be the best, but that is an insane amount of hoarded gear and optimizing your character, so you can smoothly run tough quests that noone is actually running at-level anymore. Crafting can help a lot with this, but you still have to acquire good blank items.

You can always look at what are the best xp farming quests, (mostly the undead ones up to lvl15-17) and slot gear according to them.

    Hi,

Trapping gear is one of the best examples of how cannith crafting shines.

For most of my lives I was a trapper, and being able to craft low min level trapping gear with the best possible bonuses in my slot of choice was just so useful.

Another really nice thing you can do is craft onto BTA items like those you get from the Sharn Syndicate chain. Since you can put them into the shared bank or onto a mule, it takes away some of the storage headaches.

    Thanks.

Everything else is either random or crafted (and recycled) as needed up until levels 11-12 when I start usign my GS and other banked items.
