Isn;t this the same as the Pyrene except you are using Stunning Blow?

Pyrene needs some updating but looks just the same to me.

Yes it is influenced heavily by Pyrene. But since that build is a few updates behind, I thought I would start a new thread with revamped info, etc.

Edited the OP to show homage of the builds influence and added the link.

If I was to make an update to the Pyrene, I'd go with either 20 paladin focused on TWF, or 15 paladin/4 ranger/1 fighter. The whole point of going with evasion was because having a high reflex and evasion was crucial back then. It seems U23 will be changing that, and saves with PRR is completely viable.

Minor point, but it can be nice to have six levels of paladin by level seven for delera's part 1, which is crawling with wraiths. (Six paladin gives ghost touch on all weapons.)

Does this build stay THF until 15, then switch to TWF?

I understood they were doing away with Great Cleave and Strength pre-requisites for Overwhelming Crit, but I had not heard Cleave was no longer required as well?

There is no chance I'm reading that grammatical disaster.

Only Great cleave was the pre-req, cleave and PA were the pre-req for great cleave

I have decided to scrap this idea and went with

    https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...st-the-Machine

instead. I already tr'd and am just about level 8 now.

I opted not to go this route for a couple reasons, I don't believe min maxing was any of them as I am aware with all the changes happening tring into a pure human fighter doesn't rank highly among the best. Just after all these years I am not interested anymore in following the ebb and flow of power builds and am just going to stick to what I enjoy playing. It was nice to try some of them out over the years, from Batman builds back in the day to shiradi, monkchers, centered kensei and a lot in between.

I'll be happy to share theory crafting on this thread, but I won't be able to provide any on hands experience.

@ Sith, ty for posting. I think I like the 15/4/1 suggestion over pure. I was entertaining a few build options before I posted this, and pure paladin seems to have just enough feats if you cut out a ranged option. I have grown kind of accustomed to having that, don't always need it but man it is nice when you do.

@ Ellis Most likely would have gone that route with THF in the younger levels. Things die so quickly in lowbie land with a carnifex, heh. You are right about ghost touch being a handy enhancement at lower levels, still tho after all this time I had no problem taking a choice of many ghostbane weapons from the AH.
