Being able to do that is another example of poor development. Raids should NOT be solo-able.
Not impressed, for me, it's like talking a lvl 20 toon into lvl 5 content.
There is NO Lvl 5 Content that even the absolute worst player in DDO couldn't complete with a Naked Lvl 20 Character!
However I'll give you a Lvl 20 toon soloing Heroic Elite Chronoscope as a more relevant example as that's something not everyone can manage.
Still - I'd say there's far more people who can take a Lvl 20 toon and Solo HE Chrono than take a Lvl 28 toon and solo Elite ToD! {Which remember is actually Lvl 22 on Elite!}.
EDIT: As for Raids not being soloable - AMEN Brother!
BUT: People have soloed Shroud, VoN 6 {duo-ing VoN 5} and Titan for crying out loud!
I'm not sure there's much the Devs can do to make something completely un-soloable!
This is an Achievement - At least for now as I don't think I've seen it done before {it probably has been but we're not talking VoD here where seemingly half the capped characters in the game have soloed it!}.
Congrats for having the patience to handle this quest solo.
For the things shouldn't be solo-able: I agree to a point, however the only way to make something not soloable is to have a cap. So wait a year after level 30 is cap.
Bug template! QA is here for you.
How random DD is
how to handle this random, anywhere

That is so awesome. Kudos.
I could use a ring, I think; how difficult would it be to solo on normal? Any specific must-have abilities? (Maybe a sigil from magister for the shadows?)
EDIT: So you basically just ignore suulomades, I'm guessing. Is Horoth's stun an issue?

Grats!
Sure there is...they could put a process in place that requires someone to remain on a platform while others advance the raid.
The difference between 5 to 20 and 20 to 28 is not even comparable. So much epic power comes from EDs now that level 28 just offers a few more feats, gear selection and hp; the real power lies in destinies and twists.
Either way, this has been done and will be done again, but is still an accomplishment. Anything can be done with endless sp pots but there are still elements that require care, caution and planning. Congrats and keep testing and pushing your toon!

Congratulations!
For those "no raid should be soloable" folks, let's keep calm and go play. It's DDO, not D&D.
Some raids are completely impossible to solo, such as Vault of Night. The newer high-end ones like Thunder Peak shouldn't be...has anyone tried or is the mechanic prohibiting it?
For raids like the Shroud (which I just soloed for the first time yesterday ) it's a matter of simple beat-downs at the right timing; no mandatory puzzles.
Mind you, the more complex raids now do require fully parties with mechanics that need people, not person. So calm is being restored.
So if we want to say "no solo raids," we need to add more VoN multi-lever multi-stat required crazy places or ridiculously invincible monsters that need whole parties and not even the most twinked out uber could remotely complete alone.

Sestra has soloed EN FoTP on his Shiradi caster. There's a video for it. Yes, it's kind of cheesy, but it is possible to solo it. He's also duo'ed it on EE, which is entirely fair game, but still absurd.
I don't know anything about soloing of Deathwyrm... but it's probably technically possible. (Druid anti-knockdown for Kuldjarghs, a pet to pull the other lever...)

Today I have flagged for ToD for the first time ever. I have located the cave. Entered on normal to look around. Won.
This was on a lvl 21 dwarven stalwart swashbuckler (second life, all ED though). I had most trouble in the second phase. I did not move at all. Cocoon and Sacred Ground and occasional CCW kept me alive (barely). Run out of my 700 spell points just when I killed him.
My resources consisted of: single deathward clickie. curse pots. few resist 30 pots after I realized I might actually pull it off. Selfcast buffs: blur, good hope. No DR breaker.

Time 42 minutes. Including multiple breaks for reading the wiki and assisting daughter with plasticine. And lost 5 minutes after phase 2 wondering how to go up to the chest. I guess a prepared character could easily beat normal.
