First, I'd cast a Reduce Creature spell on myself.

Then I'd find a way to make it so I could withstand heavy blows and affect sharpened hits.
(Is there an adamantine body spell? Can I get a perma-feather fall to go with that?)

Then I'd disguise myself as a singing sword.

Can you imagine how much you could troll the PCs?

Also would qualify me for the new Holy Sword spell (right?), so that's awesome.

Imagine how terrifying it would be to get halfway across the bridge and THEN notice that the breeze you're feeling, is coming from under your feet. The bridge shudders... and Chomp!!

After winning, slay the remaning group (being in a weakend state after the fight) and claim the loot!!

Quoting the MM1:

Thus, you cannot mimic living creatures. You can mimic larger or smaller objects(After all, you could be a mimicling or an extremely big abberant, living chestlike thing), however.

At least, that's 3.5 mimic.

Excuse me for breaking your scheme. Well, you can't mimic something living. Except when you become low-quality WF. Even then, you'll be an abberation, not a WF - so being stunned by a cerulean sign cast by your fellow druid at an illithid won't earn you anything except something to unravel shapechanging and, after that, a sword to a body.
