    Lightbulb 'Looking for guild' option

People who are starting guilds or wanting to expand theirs, are always looking for members. however the only way to go about it is to join low level parties and ask around, or going around in general chat. if there was a looking for guild button then they can see everybody on their server that post one. it can have the persons name, race (shows multiclass also) and a persons level. in addition to that the person may write an description about themselves Ex. Looking for guild, always on, heals a lot. may be a good description for a cleric. or Ex2. looking for guild, Intimitank, self sufficient. bay be a good description for a paladin. more descriptions for rogues, and other classes. it would be a good addition to a great game.

Great idea. I know I would've found something like this very useful awhile back. It could pop up for players who are not in a guild when they see the guild panel in the social window.

This is your first post, so I assume that you are a new player? (Not all first posts are from new players.) Welcome!

Since a (possibly) new player is asking for something like this, all the more we should pay attention to his or her needs so as to retain more folks.

    I like it.

At the same time, guilds who are actively recruiting could post their own, er, "groups?", and write little descriptions of their guild.

Could this be done with something like a server wide notice board or something similar? Or if that's not doable make it part of the social panel and just add a few extra tabs or something.

/signed. Other MMOs like Neverwinter Online and Age of Conan already have this kind of Guild search feature. The Social UI could include an entire list of Guilds on the server, with the name of the Leader (with an option to Hide this), the number of Officers, number of unique accounts, and Guild level. There could also be a blank section at the end of each entry that the Guild Leader fills in, describing the Guild and possibly how to contact them.

...filtering out any guild where nobody has logged in in the last 24 hours.
