    Default Champion of Vulkoor 15 pal/ 3 mnk/ 2 ftr

Hey guys. I'm thinking of trying out the following build. It's a TWF centered evasion paladin.
3 monk levels provide evasion, and dex to damage with short swords. 2 fighter levels are there for the obvious feat reasons.
Most enhancements are used in Sacred Defender and drow racial trees. Drow racial tree provides extra damage with short swords and some dodge.
http://imgur.com/WKncOQM These are enhancements at higher levels. Early on it would be wise to spend points in Knight of Chalice to help you fight undead.
For skills max concentration and heal. Any extra points spend into intimidate or UMD.
In combat use Earth Stance for tanking, Wind Stance for more dps. Water Stance for traps. Fire stance is irrelevant for this build.

An alternative would be taking human instead of drow. This would greatly increase survivability of the build (+3 con, +healing amp, +feat), but reduce damage output (-3 dex, -damage enhancements, -poison). For feats take dodge as bonus feat at lvl 1 and deflect arrows as monk feat at lvl 5. Or replace dodge completely with something else.

If doing this on 1st life, drop cha to 12. For a first human life need 32 pt build.
If unable to get a +1 str tome before taking lvl 4, increase str to qualify for PA.

I'd drop toughness and take a metamagic instead, at a later level of course, which would push your other feats up.

Quicken if you want to play EE
Empower Healing spell is a no-brainer
Extend is worth considering on any build with 15 paladin levels for zeal (and divine favor)

EDIT: I don't see Improved Critical in your feat list.

Plans on taking it at 21. Was talking to him in game while he was designing it and I asked him what about IC and he said he'd take it at 21.
how many times do I have to tell you: First rape, then pillage, then burn!...

Dodge is great in epics but overkill in heroics. I'd switch the order to take IC at 9 and then take dodge at 21. (And OC at 24, I assume?)

I was already debating keeping toughness. Sure, it's 22hp by lvl 20. But the build won't have enough con to take epic toughness anyway. I'll try shuffling the feats around to grab emp or extend. Quicken or IC would come at lvl 21.

Not enough str for OC. Also, I would be mainly playing heroics with this. In epics it would be just a token farm (mainly DA norm). I already tried a similar build with much worse feats (too much saves, not enough anything else) and it was a bit tough fighting mobs.

    Thumbs up

If you drop Wisdom to 8 (which it seems most Paladin builds do) and bump Strength to 14, you can take Power attack sooner which makes feats easier, and can worry less about becoming uncentered from encumbrance/enfeeblement. Monk at level 1 gives you a bunch more skill points. The level 3 feat is still tricky - maybe toughness for heroics, then swap to dodge for epics? It also seems that most builds like this take the last monk level at 20, although you can certainly take it earlier. You can take the fighter level for great cleave as soon as level 5, but I left it where you put it.

    1: Cleave
    1m: Power Attack
    2m: Two weapon fighting
    3: Toughness/dodge
    3p: follower of vulkoor
    6: Adept of forms
    7f: itwf
    9: improved critical
    12: gtwf
    12f: great cleave
    15: master of forms
    18: grandmaster of forms
    20m: path of harmonious balance

This thread might be helpful, although I like the class split you're using better: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...ntered-Paladin

Delaying monk 3 to 20 means losing dex to damage, which is a substantial part of dps of the build. This would also lose a bit of sustain.
Pushing monk levels up would require dropping wis and getting 13+ str as you suggested.

    My thoughts:
    • DEX-to-dmg is, as always, a trap, particularly on a build with access to Div Might.
    • Consider the good ol' pal 14 / monk 6 split instead. Gain Shadow form, lose Haste Boost and a lvl 4 spell slot. Feats are a wash, since you get 3rd monk feat + Adept of Forms free, rather than 2 ftr feats.

    Level 21 (Epic)
    Feat: (Selected) Epic: Overwhelming Critical
Warrior of the Wild is a placeholder; couldn't think of a better lvl 3 feat.
IDK if id give up fighter for shadow form. Thats a whole lot enhancements 2 of which are of course haste boost and tactics dc's. Added with extra stacking boosts. If gone human or helf thats extra stats when one of many is active.

Main thing to worry about with the pally is the **** shortage of feats. But as ur not making a range burster its a lil more lax. Still empower heal is a must for cheap jacked heals, and perhaps quicken. Your divine might and zeal (4th level and pretty much the main reason for climbing so high in pally) will be about 2.5 and 2:15 minutes. So extend isn't really a needed thing. The extra clicks for refreshes usually fall into line when I hit a tensers scroll as well.

Quicken is nice in the thick of it on EE when cocoon isn't enough and the handful of lay on hands is threatened. But I don't think id give up the second slot of lv 4 spells. If you already have the death ward clickies, id just as soon replace it with a jacked cure serious.

like others have said before me, Dex-build on a melee class, that has access to Divine Might is a big handicap ......

    better go stat-wise like :
    16 str (+5 lvls +2 enh +6 item + 2 ship + 8 Divine Might) = 39 (+ can get OC this way)
16 dex (need +1 tome for iTWF, gTWF) or dex 12 and chr +2 if going swf instead of 2wf
    12 con
    10 int
    8 wis
    16 chr (+6 item + 2 ship +2 enh (easy can get higher) = 26

    feats :
2wf, itwf, gtwf or swf, iswf, gswf
empower healing, iCritical, quicken, (probaly stunning blow best as last feat but any other would work)
    M : pa, M : dodge / toughness
    F : cleave, F : gcleave
