    Default Question about latest patch notes

    Newest Lam release notes say this:

    The duration for Spell Wards, Bear Traps, and Net Traps has been decreased by 20%. Additionally, the Spell Ward paralysis effect now clearly states that it can be prevented by anti-paralysis effects.
    Is this a functional change to Spell Ward paralysis, or a descriptive change? Because anti-paralysis effects have NEVER done anything to block the slow from Spell Wards. From the way this change is detailed, it sounds like a text description change only.

    I'm pretty sure spell wards can actually paralyze you, unrelated to the slow effect. I don't think I've ever been paralyzed by one but I think I've had a pet or hire who had that happen to it.

    I was paralyzed when I rolled a 1.

    Characters will low saves can easily get paralyzed by Spell Wards.

    Ah, it's just the hold effect. That makes sense.

    I mean, FoM pretty much explicitly states that it should be protecting against the slow from spell wards, so of course it doesn't.

    I hate spell wards so much. Lamest, laziest, cheesiest, most annoying trap design ever.

    I'd hate them a lot less if...
    1. Description and/or effect were changed to be accurate. FoM should stop slow or they could add a save for slow or just nerf FoM again if they have to. Stating that FoM stops magical effects then having it not work against spell wards is annoying.
    2. Mobs were not immune for some unknown reason
    3. Spell wards were included in trapmaking recipes so we could also make traps that slow, paralyze and do hundreds of damage on hit with no duration other than disarming it.
