    Default Is it just me..

Or does no one know how to calculate rapier/scimitar/falchion DPs?

    15-20 is 6 chances to crit (15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20).

Based on the d20 this means the crit range is 30%. Not the 25% EVERYONE says it is.

I'm now curious how they stack up to khopeshes. They were already super close anyway.

    That is all. Carry on.

I've never seen anyone claim 25%.

I generally see it written as 25 "base hits" per 20 rolls, compared to a khopesh's 27 "base hits" per 20 rolls.

The logic is that (assuming you hit on a 2) you hit 19 times total. For a rapier/scimitar/falchion, on six of those hits you do a second base damage. That's six extras per 20 rolls, for a total of 19+6=25.

A khopesh hits 19 times, four of which do an extra x2 (compared to the x1 of regular hits, x3 is x2 extra) each for a total of eight extras, which works out to 19+8=27.

I've never seen anyone say it like that. I have seen people say the ESOS has a 25% crit range, which by your metric the number should be 31. Not knocking you, that's pretty much how I figured up any kind of dps calcs way back when.

I've never seen anyone ever say that eSoS has 25% crit range. Do you have a link?

Also, you say "25% crit range, which by your metric the number should be 31." To clarify, my number isn't a % at all. And yes, 31 base hits on 20 rolls for a standard eSoS is correct. Earth stance, overwhelming critical, keen edge, etc... increase the number.
