Images are back up. They're now all hosted on postimage.org, as opposed to the defunct imageshack, so hopefully they'll be around for a while.

Dropped lucky tonight in Rushmore's Moving Targets and got 4 bosses and over 600 mats in one run took about 20 minutes though but still

I did my first Challenge today, "Behind the door". I tried to follow the tutorial and it helped immensely, killed two bosses but when I got to the assassin I had 3/4 crests only, missing a bat crest. I ran around finding a few more crests but no bat and ran out of time.

What I am wondering about is how people keep track of what crests you have found and what you will need for the doors ahead. I was left to just check every breakable and pick up everything I found but I had no idea what I would need to proceed on the correct path. Also remembering what I've found would be hard I suppose. Is the trick here to just always do the same path and have a mental image of what you need and are missing at any time. Do all doors always have the same requirements?

If I try to do the shorter runs I imagine it will be more important to "move on" when you have the crests you will need.

I was just doing Rushmore. I use a hotbar that shows the crests (a PITA to setup, but once done it is handy). I am pretty certain that the crest requirements are randomized, so do a first route to pick lots of them up and then pray for the best. It is rare to not get them all (my challenge farmer is a GxBow iconic 13 rogue/2 arti/1 barb).

    Default Keeping Track of Crests

I pop the crests into a hotbar so I know how many of each I've found so far. After I've got one of each, I rearrange them alphabetically - but the idea is you can arrange them in a way that makes sense to you.

After the Challenge, the images are ghosted, but the next time you run a Challenge, the appropriate crest will get colored in again when you pick one up. I add other challenge related things to a hotbar, too, like Torches, Healing Torches, etc. And if I'm not running Challenges, I can hide that hotbar and pull it out again when I need it.

I think the crests needed are random, so you don't know what you need until you get to a socket. But I find knowing I've got one of everything comforting, and place bets with myself on the odds of the next socket being that one crest I'm missing.

nice, I do this too--a challenge hotbar--although with a challenge farmer build parked at 16 to do them, not so much anymore

Thanks, that is good advice! I started doing that too now, had good success on first "Moving targets" attempt with 575 manuscripts awarded.

Agreed on setting a hotbar for crests so you can easily track what you're low on.

I like to go to the observatory first, killing the succubus and the war chief dude as my first two bosses. Since I'm in the observatory, I can solve the puzzle for a crest if I'm short one. Also, after killing those two bosses, before I head back to the assassin I check if I'm short any crests and if so get one one from the puzzle before heading out.

Since you can record in 1080p m8 have you had any thoughts on re-doing these tutorials in 1080p to make them look better? Just a thought

Yes, actually, but I'm waiting until I finish upgrading his gear, which is a lower priority than other crafting projects I'm working on.

Ah awesome sauce! I still need to finish mine and IIRC you said something about updating the enhancements since you use different ones now or something?

EDIT - Found the new enhancements in the build thread.

Since you just posted, I would say the images died and not you.
