    Default Temple of Vol nerf...cute.

So there was a lot of negative feedback on the nerf to Vol's XP. So latest Lama build says:

NEW: Experience for Desecrated Temple of Vol has been returned to the previous value:
Previous Base XP on Heroic Normal: 5344
“New” Base XP on Heroic Normal: 5344

Of course, it can't just stay the same. If you keep reading, you find the OTHER nerf:

NEW: Temple of Vol now requires 1 gold key and 1 silver key (rather than 2 gold keys) in order to progress.

If you really think this is a nerf well ok. I'd consider it more correcting something that was broken for a long time, honestly each chest should only of produced 1 key or the solution they gave now works where the keys are different. I'll give you the right side room is "harder" to a degree but calling this a nerf is really stretching the definition of a yellow foam dart/bat/football producing company.

I see the key change as more of a correction, instead of a nerf.

Yes, I see it more as a correction as well. They didn't need to mess with the xp in there to begin with honestly. Glad to see that change redacted more or less.

This is a good change. I never understood why they were the same.

It’s actually more XP as people will want to get the Ingenious bonus from the traps since they have to go through them all anyway.
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

So fixing something that has been broke is a nerf. Got it.

Wow, that is finally being fixed?

About time. Does make the quest painful on elite, but IIRC the save requirements aren't too high.

Anyway, Inferno is the new Orchard quest of note. More than a 50% increase in a quest that was already farmable.

    Good change. Thank you.

Inferno definitely looks more desirable to run now also.

I didnt understand the nerf to Delera part 4 xp though. It's still good xp but the quest was never particularly easy or short for most people. The only very quick runs I experienced were full TR parties with supercharged characters. Other than that, most groups would have several deaths due to traps (if there was no trapper who could do the relatively high DC traps).

It's not that I want to moan about every xp-nerf Turbine comes up with. I just want to see some logic in this, and I am having a hard time with it.

Turbine, please think this over. Look at your adventure packs. Look at which ones sell well and which sell poorly. Those that sell well are likely pretty ok. Those that sell poorly likely have a too low xp profile all over. You want to make buying these desirable, yes? More xp makes them desirable. I'm glad you finaly started adjusting the Eveningstar heroic quests also.

The devs make a change, players give feedback, the devs listen to feedback and change it back.

    And you still complain...

My favorite part about all these recent Lam changes is that you doombois can't claim anymore that "They never listen to feedback anyway. Whatever is on Lam always makes it to live".

I will call you out every time you pull out that **** sentence in the next few months.

This new willingness to change core systems on lama is a definite change for the better. I'm a big fan. It is a change, though.

The big reason for that? There is no announced launch date for Update 20. I'm sure they have an internal one, but they can adjust that as needed now, rather than try and cram everything in by X day.

I solo this, on elite, on every life of every toon. As such, the fix won't make any difference to me, but I am unhappy about the nerf because it means I will now be carrying non-matching accessories for an unacceptable period of time. Gold AND silver is vulgar; there's such a thing as style, you know.

(BTW, I can't see the trap XP making much difference. I daresay there are a few people out there who will actually stop and disable them, but I imagine that the majority will do exactly as I do even on trapper characters and ignore them.)

I think it is great they are listening to player feedback. That has been the #1 complaint from players. I do think they have to be careful about this though because not everybody knows what is best for the game. It is like the saying from Winston Churchill...."The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter."

This might require a trapper or evasion build for Vol going forward but I don't think it is unreasonable.

Neither are needed. You can solo this on elite with a pure barb... if you're careful where you put your feet.

I'm in favour of the change (although see above), but this is crying out for a response and I can't help myself...

Didn't you know that challenges were never intended to grant any xp? That was just a bug.

Bag exploit, challenge chest exploit made it live.... the priority is broken. That stupid key in this quest is so minor compared to other game breaking things. Good it is done, but it does not invalidate complaints about what goes live from lama and what does not.
