Default Raider's Reward: An issue with.

The goal of Raider's Reward is to compensate toons for having lost 20th completion lists.

Yet it forces an arbitrary TR, which is actually counter to most 20x running toons' agendas.

Well, that doesn't seem that awful, right? Annoying, limiting to many toons, sure..

Oh, but there's another factor: You can't TR into Iconics yet, meaning any toon prepped for such a TR'd have to do a potentially completely wasted life just for the box.

    So.

This can't go live as is, at least not with any hope of it addressing the spirit of re-compensation and respect that the box was designed to match in intent. Rather, it now is a slap to the face to all the toons that AREN'T able to get it- or that have to leap through ridiculous hoops to get.

But, ah, other than that... :P

But yeah, personally, all the toons I have are either end-life, or waiting for Epic TRs or Iconic TRs, so TRing them just for the box isn't an option- even for what [the box] gives, I'm not up for losing 28 levels just for it. :P

I'm pretty sure the way it reads is if you TR after Update 19 OR ran a single raid, excluding Chronoscope and Tempest Spine.

If you are sitting at cap waiting for Epic TR, you probably ran a raid already or at least should have no problem running a raid.

If you are an Iconic, you shouldn't have much trouble flagging for a raid and running it, even if you are a freshly rolled wet-behind-the-ear Iconic.

If you are an end-lifer, you should have plenty of time to level up to run a raid, whether its Titan by level 11, DQ by 14, Fate by 15, Abbot by 15, Shroud by 16 and the others.

Well, now I just look foolish and illiterate, having managed to read 'and' instead of 'or'.
Must be all those Barbarian lives catching up to me.

    I appreciate the clarification!

What they should do, without knowing if they can do it, is limit it to people who have done these things prior to this announcement. Probably to people who have done those things prior to the Reward list being fixed.

It's too good for someone to be able to qualify for now when they know this will be the reward.

No problem. I had to read it twice to make sure it was an "either or" and not a "must have done both".

In other words, for those of us who held some toons back from raiding for various reasons [say, holding onto a 19], those toons should be arbitrarily punished?

I won't argue that it's a weird way to go about it, as is, but limiting it to arbitrary criteria certainly won't help anything.

    Those barbarian lives still...

I think he was saying that only characters who have either A) TRed after U19 went live, or B) have run a raid (other than Chronoscope and Tempests' Spine) before this announcement should gain the reward.

If you're holding onto 19 raid completions, you've run a raid, so would qualify.

His issue is with people who haven't touched a raid leveling a character to 20 and TRing, or leveling a character to run heroic VoN to get CitW rewards.

Personally, I think it's okay for everyone to get the CitW weapon they desire most and turn the raid into a ghost town. Maybe then the devs will actually look at redesigning the thing to be enjoyable.
