Default [Build Request] Fighter8/Ranger6/Monk6 Khopesh Centered TWF

I am looking for an optimized build path for this setup, and a bit of explanation of playstyle, as I'm not too familiar with monk.
I've leveled this character to 17 already, and this is his first life. I'd like to TR him at some point, and build more smoothly because the first time around his skill points are a mess and I wasnt sure what feats I needed when.
Help me work out the finer details?

He will TR with a supreme +4 tome and past life fighter.

Kensai/Tempest/Ninja is the idea as I understand it

If a different split would prove beneficial I am open to suggestions but I've done a little research and 8/6/6 is pretty convincing
8Fgt for 1/wBlade (greater weapon focus)
6Rng for free feats, including multishot and itwf, skill points and dual wield enh
6Mon for ... well all i can think of is evasion, incorp and master earth stance. Like I said, unclear here how to use monk

I'm confused about how many enhancement points I should use for things like str and crit confirmation
I understand Khopesh and bastard sword both have their uses, so I use a feat for both and focus heavy blades in kensai

That's all I can think of at the moment, any constructive input is appreciated!

I got Bastard Sword for Nightmare, and the ranged feats in the hopes that they would prove to be low-hanging fruit
If not, are the dodge% feats worth it? Oversized TWF?

I don't think Oversized TWF is worth it. Other than that, it looks pretty good.

I might try to frontload ranger a little more; getting TWF at 7 and ITWF at 12 seems a little late.

    Thank you for your replies

    No OTWF then, check.

Yeah, I straight ripped the leveling order off the old saint pick build with no consideration for reasoning.
I think it becomes a matter of skill point allocation in this build, and it might have had something to do with feats in the other
What with the acquisition of key components at each of the final levels of three classes, something is always going to seem late
If I could just r6 (ITWF)>f8 (SWF)>m6 (Stances) I think I would be happiest, but I dont think it works best that way. Something to play with now that I have something to compare to
It is worth noting that the TWF comes from ranger enhancements at level 1

I think I will try (the following) next:

1 Ranger Khopesh, WF Slash ((Bow Strength)) (TWF Enhancement)
    2 Monk Power Attack
    3 Fighter Cleave, Point Blank
    4 Fighter Stunning Blow
    5 Ranger ((Rapid Shot, TWF))
    6 Ranger Great Cleave
    7 Ranger
    8 Ranger
    9 Ranger IC: Slashing, ((ITWF))
    10 Fighter
    11 Fighter WS:S
    12 Monk Dodge, Mobility
    13 Monk
    14 Monk
    15 Monk GTWF
16 Monk Zen Archery ((Adept of Forms))
    17 Fighter
18 Fighter Master of Forms, EWP: Bastard Swords
    19 Fighter
    20 Fighter GWF: Slashing
    21: Overwhelming Critical
    24: Grandmaster of Forms
    27: ((Blinding Speed?))

And see how the feats/skills end up
I just hope having a low skill point class at the end doesnt ruin things.

    Thanks for the input!

I feel like this build doesn't show up until level 20, but I can't see a different way to build it =/

    I have 2 questions.

First, what are your priorities with this build? Are building primarily for endgame? Do you want to enjoy the leveling process as well? Is this just for a past life? If you're building for endgame, are building for EE or lower content? I've been toying with a similar build but how you build it really depends on your goals.

Second, why go khopesh? If you're looking at endgame, Balizarde will out dps khopesh. With keen edge from kensai Balizarde has a base 13-20 x3 crit profile. With overwhelming crit and master earth stance x5 on 19-20 and x6 with devestating crit from legendary dreadnaught. Fists of iron makes it 12-20 x4 and up to x7 on 19-20. And if you're concerned only with EE content then Nightmare will blow them both out of the water. If you're not concerned with epic levels then khopesh is the better choice.
Unarmed monk guide with builds|The Arcane Warrior: wiz/fighter hybrids|White Feather Sniper: CC/dps focused deepwood stalker|The Divine Cuisinart: divine crusader tempest|The Count of Monte Cristo: swashbuckler|Hassan's Assassin: dex assassin|Dubbell O'Seven: WF artificer|Santa's Little Slayer: dragonmarked elf centered kensai

    Red face khopesh

I've been working on a similar build. Unfortunately I have TR'd or LR'd 4 Khopesh users out of their builds and into THF's. Khopesh's are NOT endgame. I have one Khopesh user left. He is on his 5th Life and I have tons of Khopeshes left. I HAVE to have at least one Khopesh user left in my stable. I will probably change him to a Bastard Sword user for EE content when I get him there if Khopeshes don't work as well as I like. Their DPS is still high, there are just better weapons for Endgame. Currently, I'm looking at:

    Human 8Ftr/6Rgr/6Mnk

    1. M. PA, Dodge, Cleave
    2. F. WF-Slashing
    3. R. Khopesh, FE-Undead
    4. M. Improved Sunder
    5. F. Great Cleave
    6. R. Stunning Blow
    7. R.
    8. F.
    9. R. IC: Slash
    10. M. Path Harm Light
    11. M.
    12. F. WS-Slash, PBS
    13. M.
    14. R. FE-Evil Outsider
    15. M. Ic-Ranged, Master of Forms
    16. R.
    17. F.
    18. F. GTWF, Zen Archery
    19. F.
    20. F. GWF-Slashing
    21. OWC
    24. Grand Master of Forms
    26. Tactician
    27. Epic DR
    28. PTWF

Well, I've wanted to make a khopesh build just to have made a khopesh build. Haven't done it before.
I have BS in this build, so I am able to use nightmare, and if they blow both of out of the water, then it looks like my build is set as it is?

Could you explain Imp Sunder and Tactician to me?
Is PTWF coming in the next patch? What does it do?

OIC. So I just take PTWF and Tactician or Firstblood at 26 and 28?
Do you still get epic feats at 24 and 27?
What is the priority on sundering them down to stunnable?

    Source on this? U20 resource?

    So F12/M6/R2
and use the bonus feats for ITWF and Manyshot?
Ah that's too bad though, I liked the tempest tree. Maybe somehow M2,R6? and get Forms feats the hard way? (never mind, need M6 for ninja)

    Edit: Ah ha.

Tier 5 have always required character level 12, class level 5. Do you mean to say that changed in the pass to class level 12?

    1. Improved Sunder can lower Fortification Saves by up to -3 per shot and can stack up to -15 (5 times). Tactician adds +2 to your Tactics. Both of these effect your ability to land your Stunning Blows. You will need them in Epic Elite content if you are planning on any CC on this build.

    2. Tactician and Perfect Two Weapon Fighting are Feats based off of your Epic Destinies.

    3. Yes. You still get feats at 24 and 27. I missed one earlier. I plan on Epic DR at Level 27 for the extra 10 added PRR.

Nope, it has always been this way.

Note: "Level 12", not "12 levels in a class." A 5/5/2 build can take tier 5s from either of their two "primary" classes. (But not both.)

I'm working on a 8 fighter/ 6monk / 6 ranger build too. Probably go bastard swords later from Khopesh.

Human. Took Monk then Ranger every other level so that at level 12 could take Master of Forms and have TWF,ITWF.
16 Feats: PA. Cleave, Great Cleave, Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack, Toughness, IC Slashing, WF Slashing, WS Slashing, GWF Slashing, GTWF, EWP Khopesh or BS, Master of Forms, GM of Forms, Stunning Fist.

um. Ok. Well. To make this build work, you have to take tier 5 in the kensai tree which only requires 5 levels of ftr. No issues there....

I think people were confused by this statement which is incorrect.

You can however take tier 5 enhancements from ONLY ONE tree. It locks out all tier 5 enhancements from other trees when you do.

Unless you are referring to CORE enhancements which is another story and does require level 12 of a class. But that is not needed to make this build work.

Unfortunately, no; while the 5th tier is unlocked at class level 5, One with the Blade has Greater Weapon Focus as a prereq, which requires fighter level 8.

It was kind of a dirty trick, if you ask me.

    ^yep

Just like Divine Might from the Paladin KoC tree, which is tier 2 (Paladin 2) but requires Paladin 4 (Turn Undead) to power it

I was in error. I thought 12 in the class was required and I thought it was a stealth nerf after the update. Gladly I was wrong.
