    That's just mean. How are we going to play here and Lamannia at the same time. /sigh

    To be greedy or to be helpful, that is the question

    That probably will be the decision, but just shows some of the issues Turbine has when they cannot coordinate events like this. One hand is screaming "we need feedback, come try Lamannia" and the other is stating "come level your real characters as they are more important."

    Which is it Turbine, you want feedback or not?

    Pando sucks, Lama won't work. The answer is simple. Kill the Pando.

    aka, greed.

    That and my wife will be demanding my help to help her finish grinding out EDs, so it is deff greed.

    They could always host events to earn stuff on Live at the same time. Wouldn't that throw you for a loop. Stuff for those that will, and stuff for those that won't. It is P(lay)2W!

    I have long stated that those that actually provide constructive feedback should be given something for their efforts on the Live server. Or even not limit it to that, but who ever had active characters during that testing phase should be given something, that way we would feel that our feedback is actually more welcomed.

    Bah, exact same timing as the LOTRO anniversary double bonus experience event. I'm going to play over there instead - y'all should schedule your dates differently.

    Wow.

    How about the good feeling you get knowing you have made the game better for yourself and your fellow gamers.

    You want to be given something for volunteering to do something?

    Here is your reward;

    Thank you.

    When I was checking out the NWO beta, they did a stress test. Everyone online during the server stress test is supposed to get a prize (a cosmetic Pirate hat) when the game goes live. Something like that should be easy to implement in DDO. Everyone who tests on Lama at specific times gets an XP pot to reward them for the time they spent away from their characters.
    The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

    The good feelings that never manifest because players were not listened to? While I agree that rewards are unnecessary, let's not go to far in what has really been accomplished in the past on lam

    Considering you and I have a long history of not seeing eye to eye I will just leave you with this thought. How quality is the effort of the player population in reporting bugs on Lamannia as a whole? Do more people go over there just to learn the quest and what loop holes they can find to get ahead of everyone else or do more people truly TEST the new material? Anyone who has been here for an extended time know the true answer to that and it has nothing to do with testing. So why not give people more reason to TEST than to just try to get ahead? Would it harm anyone? No. Would it help improve the game? More than likely yes. Then again we come back to the true problem, not enough of feedback is constructive, too much of it is "doom" or "this sucks".

    So yes, I want to see more reason to spend time on Lamannia considering it takes time away from playing characters that matter.
