Is ED farming still possible after U17?

The question itself is to get to the bottom of the issue. You seem to be confusing it for a statement.

This rumor has re-emerged every update (and most patches) since u14 launched and people figured out ID and Dun'Robar are such good farms. I wouldn't be concerned at all unless someone has actually proof, as I doubt Turbine is stupid enough to do something like this.

Basically, old rumor revived, should be assumed false unless proven otherwise.

There is zero reason to think they'll ever make such a change because it would require actual work and would serve no purpose.

It serves as a good thing for the player base who enjoy the benefits of its use....so almost definately will get the Turbine-smash some time in the future.

There are plenty of precendents for non-game breaking player assists in the past getting the axe just because.

1) Turbine has enough high level content in place
2) Turbine notices that the new packs aren't selling because people are content XP farming just a couple of quests

Its doubtful that we are there for u17.

So fact. Right now it is a reason to buy that content, to level ED. Once they need something else to sell, they will make this quest unattractive and pass the appeal to the new product of the week.

It's just that this topic is particularly inflammatory. If this really happened it would mean that ED farming would be impossible without multiple TRing and really grinding for months or even years. As opposed to now when if you are dedicated to it you can get it in a week (I suppose if you are insane you could get it in a day).

The difference between months/years and week/day is enough to make anyone who desires this (and if you want to play EE you desire this) go completely apoplectic if it is threatened. So some sadistic people (not necessarily the OP, who could be an innocent dupe) fling the rumor out there to watch the heads pop.

It would be like starting a rumor that eSoS is being removed from the game tomorrow, but everyone who has one as of today gets to keep it forever. Except that for a lot of builds, a full set of proper twists is worth more than an eSoS or any other equivalent item.

Lots of folks have heard this baseless rumor over and over each and every release and are frankly sick of it comming up without the OP bothering to offer even the slightest bit of proof. Oh, I didn't even realize they were responding that way because they thought I was trolling... I just thought they were just mentally slow.

Tested in build just prior to the one up right now. Other than the repetition counter being slightly buggy by jumping up and down by one at start and completion, the repetition counter does not increase. So you can continue farming.
