Did they really make the cannith challenge pack literally worthless for anybody to buy at any price?
I'm a little shocked that even Turbine is that dumb.
Epic tokens are no longer a big priority since the new loot doesn't use augment slots.
The primary value of challenges was xp, with a side benefit of getting some epic tokens. Now the only value of house c challenges is epic token farming. That makes the pack not worth buying at any price.
Apparently they designed one of the new Eveninstar challenges poorly. It was a "waves of attackers" type challenge, and if you cc'ed the first wave no more would spawn and you'd get full credit even though you didn't do anything. This challenge had a very high first time bonus, so the devs felt that the ability to get a bunch of free experience very easily once per character per life was a little out there.
So they fixed that one challenge's first-time xp issue not by fixing the challenge to let waves spawn before the previous wave was killed, not by lowering that one challenge's first time bonus multiplier or base xp. No, what they did is fix it by cutting ALL challenge xp in half. All challenges, regradless of Eveningstar or House C, now give half xp when run on epic compared to yesterday. This is on live already.
Next up: TRs xp farming VON3 will be fixed by cutting all heroic xp from any source in half.
Ok im against nerfing things, i think terror shoud stay as it was (tho nightmere scimitars, rapiers etc random looted shoud be nerfed), i think fom shoud protect aginst earth grab, and i think that wf shoud be immune to poisons etc.
But challanges xp was insane, im with turbine on this one, was just to easy.

Some of them were over the top, agreed. Namely eveningstar with a bard was insane xp/min, and that warranted a nerf, ok. The other challenges though, were not even remotely that good to begin with, yet they applied a flat 50% cut to all of them, making the subpar ones now complete junk officially.
I can not see any reason behind this, no matter how much I try, this just looks short sighted and stupid. Then again, so is the current way the game handles xp over 20 (holding level23 ring a bell for you?), and that was a far more important issue they completely borked, so I'm hardly surprised to see them mess up again now...
Lol... so challenge's XP nerfed and free Xp pot broken... I'm starting see a master plan behind this casualties...
