Fix Demonweb flagging!!!

Jesus Christ, this is reported since the first beta day and still not fixed. Please fix the crappy flagging of the Demonweb ASAP as it will end players not able to follow or even redo Servants of the Overlord or the other flagging Quest!!!

What your post didn't help me learn was any useful info on what the bug is, or how to reproduce it.

I believe he's referring to the Lords of Dust chain fouling up. Had the same issue the... (second? third?) time I ended up playing tour-guide for some guildies getting them on over to Eveningstar.

Tough to tell what all caused it, since we also hit lagspikes that kicked us all completely out of the quest, the new grouping panel turning it'sself on, and had three folks on three different parts of the chain.

Since the bug ends up leaving you permanently unable to pick the quests back up, kinda hard to try and reproduce that.

Ok, I was just a little bit annoyed which sometimes may happen and I can assure you the bug report itself was more detailed and precise then my first post.

How to reproduce:
1. Have two character A and B
2. Character A already advanced to Eveningstar
3. Player B not have any flagging quest and the Harbor not show any entrance yet to the Spinner of Shadow or Demonweb.
4. Now player B group with Player A and do Lord of the Dust
A. First issue, Player can't can't retake quest -> no end reward
B. Second issue after finishing both the first flagging Quest 'The Lord of Dust' (Player A just entry together with B) the player B only get the option to enter the 'Servants of the Overlord'. Player B however can't enter this Quest anymore, no matter what we try'd. Abandoning the Quest chain is either not allowed or leave you with a completely broken chain where you are totally blocked with this Character.

So yes, I believe that a heck of a lot of players will be more then annoyed about:
- not being able to advance to the Demonweb
- having a character stuck by trying to abandon the chain
- not being able to group with Guildies

By the way, its not only one quest that you can't do. Not being able to advance to the Forgotten Realms even that you bought the pack including all their Quests is anything else then a minor issue. So yes, I am fine if one call me a Blasphemer, if I say that a bug that exist and is reported since several weeks may not be resolved till it goes live may upset players

Oh yes, I encountered the same issue myself in an earlier version of the beta. Probably should have sent a bug report at the time, but I had no way of telling if it could be replicated.

There may be multiple things broken on the flagging (reminds me a bit on Threnal broken flagging system) and even different ways to get screwed up. One point is that at the beginning players probably didn't noticed this at all as you just could use the portal in the market to go to Eveningstar, but it is broken since.

One issue behind is, that while on regular quests you get the Quest window and can even enter and follow other players (you may get a big red warning however) this time a dialog option opens which prevent you from even getting the quest dialog at all. It claim that you have to take the quest first, which you can't because the NPC for that quest is locked in the chain.

You even not need to test the broken flagging for groups as described. Just use a character that has all three flagging quests and try to redo the second (Servants of the Overlord). I tell you, you can't which is already a clear indicator that there is something not right. I am sure a lot of players that don't bought the pack but farmed the only free epic quest will be really annoyed if they suddenly can't redo those quests because the flagging system forces you to advance.

One proposal to solve the issue would be: Have the Quest portal itself propose the three different quests entrances how it was done in the past so you could still enter the Quest even if you are on a different chapter.

I think my character has an issue like this aswell, while its raid flagged, I cannot repeat the lords of dust or servants (can repeat spinners fine tho).

The new town quest ui is telling me to talk to the npcs (all of em) but I allready did the chain on live, and 2 wont even come up with a dialog.

Hotfix June 26th for this issue and others.

Hotfix will not allow you to play servants of the overlord, even if partied with those who can enter. It will just let you get into the prison regardless of flagging.

Wait so after the expansion we cant do epic servants? kinda puts my gear grind on hold. (yeah I know theres some good random loot in u14, but I could randomly never get what im looking for).

Completed this chain initially solo on both my Ranger and my FvS.

Absolutely no hangups at all on my FvS, and can repeat any part of the chain as required.
My Ranger, however, is stuck on the Spinner's end-reward. I click on the NPC in the harbour (forget his name), the cutscene comes up, and there's never a quest reward offered afterwards. The NPC is continually stuck in the green arrow "click on me" mode, which never resolves.

No discernable difference between the two playthroughs, although my Ranger reached a point in Spinners (if my memory serves correctly) where the spiders put some of the flames back out. It's been a while, so I could be a bit hazy on this, but I seem to recall having to re-light some of the already lit torches because a wave of spiders put them out.
(again, going off memory here, and obviously been unable to repeat this issue, as I can't finish the quest in order to repeat it!)

This has definitely never happened with my FvS in all my subsequent playthroughs though. Not sure if that makes a difference or not regarding bugs.

I also noticed that I was unable to repeat Servants of the Overlord or Lords of Dust in any way, shape or form. Haven't tried testing today though (nor did I really check in the build before this one). I hope this can be fixed soon, as it may prevent me from being able to flag with my other characters if I should choose to flag for the Realms with them.

I was blissfully unaware of this bug.

So tonight on my freshly capped and geared first life cleric I decided to flag for the xpack. I join a pug for the whole chain, but after the first part -- as often happens with pugs -- the party leader had to leave and the rest of the group dispersed to the wind.

So I check the lfms, see another pug doing whole chain on epic hard and they need a healer. Great! I think, hey that first casual run got me almost no favor, epic hard would be much better. So I abandon the chain to restart it.

Aaaaaaaand now my cleric is permanently unable to venture into the Forgotten Realms. Nice. I'm so very impressed with the xpack, devs, real bang-up job you did there.

And I'm one of the big supporters of the changes. Serves me right, I guess.
