Went and looked on Fawngate:
The ranger past life has a tab that can be opened up, inside it is a list of all the weapons it applies to:
Shortbow and longbow
Light, heavy, and great crossbow
Light and heavery repeating crossbow
So, to the answer to your question:
No, it does not apply to darts, throwing daggers, throwing axes, throwing hammers, or shunriken.

(noticed that the former is catagorized as ranged weapons and the latter thrown weapons)
I also reviewed the information on the wiki but the answer was somewhat peripheral so I figured I'd ask for some clarification.
Thank you for the response.

I was kinda surprised to see the tab to open up individual weapon feats on it when i first got it.
