Default HD 720p+ Livestream Contests (Over 4,000,000p in Prizes!)

As some of you may know from a few of my previous posts, I have a livestream running @ http://www.twitch.tv/goodideagaming. Over the past couple of days, this has been an extreme success averaging 15-20 viewers at some times, with lots of chat interaction, questions, and great fun. I have had a blast doing this, and in no way shape or form plan to stop anytime soon.

I will continue to be streaming live every day @ http://www.twitch.tv/goodideagaming. I had a contest a few months ago pretty similar to this one, but this time I will be giving away over 4,000,000 platinum in prizes in 4 different contests that I will be having!

First of all, the forum contest: Similar to the last one, anyone who replies to this post with the following question answered: "What in DDO provides the most enjoyment for you, whether it be TR'ing, questing, raiding, epics, or anything; what do you have the most fun doing in DDO?". May 31st will be the last day to answer, and in early June I will randomly select 1 answer (which will be live-streamed as well!) and give that person 1,000,000 platinum on the Sarlona Server.

Secondly, the live stream contests: There are three different sort of livestream contests that I will be holding. One of the contests is similar to the forum contest, but to qualify you need to send me a PM through the Twitch Private Message system (if you need help doing this, feel free to ask, it is similar to sending a PM on any forum or on YouTube). The question is different however: "What is something you really look forward too in the near future in DDO, whether it be in the expansion or something else, what is something you are anticipating?". Quite similarly, the winner will be randomly chosen and awarded 1,000,000 platinum on the Sarlona Server. The last day to answer is May 31st and the winner will be chosen in early June.

The other two contests arent really contests, but when I reach *now* 200 followers on my twitch channel http://www.twitch.tv/goodideagaming I will randomly select one of those 200 followers and give them 1,000,000 platinum on the Sarlona Server. Unlike the other contests, whenever this happens I will select the member immediately after reaching 200 followers and contact them through Twitch Private Message. Also, I will be awarding 1,000,000 platinum for every 100 followers past 100.

The last contest is not a contest either (lol) but we have had a lot of people watching recently, and any day in the near future where there are more then 20 viewers for a period of 30 minutes or longer, I will choose 1 person randomly who is watching and signed up to twitch to win 1,000,000 platinum and that person will be given the platinum as soon as they win. Unlike the other contests, any time I reach over 20 viewers for 30 minutes or longer I will be awarding 1,000,000 platinum on Sarlona (once per day at most though).

So thats pretty much it, just a couple of notes. If you do not play on Sarlona, you can still win! If anything, it is party of my scheme to get more people to play on Sarlona (lol) so feel free to make a new character and claim your prize anyway, you can always use it as start-up money for a new char, or give it to a friend.

Another note: I just want to mention I do not make any money doing this in any way, shape, or form. I am simply doing this for fun and enjoyment. I like broadcasting DDO live, I like seeing other people enjoy watching DDO live, it is what I do for fun and these are the reasons why I am holding this contest. It sincerely gives me joy to see people in the livestream saying they are having fun.

So that is pretty much it, if you have any questions feel free to ask, and good luck everyone! The first two contests end May 31st where as the others have no set end dates and are always going on (or until further notice).

Thanks for reading and participating everyone, and once again, good luck!

I love watching a build come together after all the hard work I put into it.

    Default Playing :)

Whenever I can find time when all the kids are asleep and can actually just sit down with the hubby and spend some hours running uninterrupted.

I also enjoy the first run of a new quest when it comes out, when no one really knows what to expect yet.

What provides the most enjoyment in DDO for me are those very rare times when a full group of people (fun people) have managed to get into a situation (fight) way over their heads, and after much stress and struggle and some miracles the group manages to pull through to victory. For me it isn't about the easy victory (well, sometimes it is ) but the challenge. The combat system lends itself to some really fun tactical options, and placing myself in tough situations brings out the best in me - creativity, instinct, improvisation. Victory is far more sweet and satisfying to me if it was achieved when it is against all odds, when everything said we should have been killed but we managed to survive anyway.

These situations are few and far between the more one becomes familiar with the game, but every once in a while things come together in just the right way (or wrong way as it were) to provide this kind of experience. Times like this can be real bonding moments and they bring people together. Great way to make friends.

There isn't a simple answer for that, though if I had to pick just one, I'd go with 'perpetual evolution'.
The game is constantly developing, shifting, growing, and becoming more and more interesting.
This is what encourages me to keep playing.

But, as a more concrete answer, it'd have to be 'depth of character customization'.
This, of course, means I'm very much looking forward to the expansion and enhancements update, both of which ought both greatly expand the depth of customization available, and freshen up the customization all over again.

    As secondary delights:
The option of TRing is splendid, as it allows you to gain something out of the time spent on flawed or outdated builds, and also offers an extra line of 'carrots' that encourages playing new builds.

Raiding is a blast, especially with guilds and static groups, where you can build up superior strategies and coordination over time. While WoW may have been responsible for truly encouraging Raids out as a mainstream MMO component, I find DDO's approach to have much more finesse and charm.
Still, with that said, Raids often feel as if they are lacking something, or are left unpolished. A good example of this is Titan Awakes, where the need to rerun the pre-raid on each (sometimes completely out of your control) failure can be tiring. Likewise, if you want to include the Spectral Dragon as a 'true' raid, then it surely can be noted as lacking in depth.

On that note- the events. They're always entertaining and worth looking forward to.. except.. they never change. In dealing with bugs and flaws, or in adding new content or even just graphical tweaks. This makes them more of a blind grind after their first appearance. And Risia.. well, that could use a full makeover.

The way epics handle farming can be fun with the right groups- even if reward lists ought eventually give you access to the epic pieces from that quest to reduce frustration- and I find them to be a relaxing alternative to more difficult challenges, such as Shavarath and House C raids, both of which are fun for that very challenge.

Guilds are underdeveloped in features, especially in depth of guild ranks/power assignments, but provide a vitality to the game that truly drives it forward.

Sure, we have our bugs to deal with, but the game truly offers many facets of fun.

So, with all this and more, what do I have the most fun doing in DDO?
I guess "Playing in it" is too cheesy an answer. So, I'll tell you what.
Let me just go log in and check. Ah, all for science, of course.
