I used to track how many times I died, but I ran out of space.
I dont use the bio. i let my voice-chat speak for itself.
which i do not know if it is a good or a bad thing >.>
and i would be more then happy to accept some green from you nexx so you can add to the greenis of more important people
As I am at heart a roleplayer hankering for some kind of RP experience in DDO (and am thwarted at every turn by the appalling Emotes/Chat system), my bio describes the subtleties of the character's physical appearance that the lack of facial expressions/emotes prevent covering via other means.
So my character Bios tend to be short and to the point: 'this dour looking halfling scowls at you' or 'while this elf appears to wear a permanent frown, there's a twinkle in his eye when he thinks nobody's looking' 'this tough looking warrior has a tracery of fine scars covering his skin, and his armour while well maintained shows signs of frequent improvised repair. Clearly he has been in the front line of many a battle'
I do understand bios filled with OOC information - clearly you aren't trying to roleplay, and that's fair enough. But I don't understand filling them with IC information that could not be known about without actually talking to the character IC. It just seems to be kind of breaking the 4th wall while attempting to live within it. I do appreciate the fact someone is advertising themselves as someone who is an RPer, but it seems an odd way to do it. I mean, how could a passerby somehow know your character history, or past exploits just by taking a close look at you?
The part of the Team America movie where he breaks out about 3 types of people in the world. Picks dussies and a-holes
I hate people who put there build into there bio. Its kind of like they're saying "high, i'm a giant jerkface, who plays this game 26 hours a day. I now have an unkillable toon & want you to know it, so i'veposted my stats here... You may call me god now."
Only thing worse is people who post there impressive kills, because to quote sherrif mars "I don't belieeeeevvvvveeee youuuuuu."
I also hate people who put racist jokes in there bio & i have a tendency to report them for it.
Bio is a good place to put important information & a little bit of character background if your part of a RP guild.
On my rogue i write my build purpose (Traps and Backstabs) and my rogue skills (search, dd, ol).
On my Fighter i just threaten people to cut off their head if they block my loot :P
On my cleric i have a monty python reference (his name is Doctorgumby), some people may get a laugh of it.
On my tempest ranger i state that Chuck Norris was a texas "ranger" and never used ranged weapons to beat his enemies.
There is an "Alternate" Forum, PM Strakeln for details.

The Bio tab is a notepad:
recipes
grocery lists
top 5 least favorite movies
the qualities I'm looking for in a personal accountant
that thing I mean to look up later
bits of Kevin Smith dialogue involving escalators
people I see on public transportation and immediately hate, and why
And I have to use it as such, because real-life notepads are ONLY for making flipbooks.
My bios are all different, but have one thing in common.
Just about everything I write is designed to make someone laugh. Either at me, at the game, or at life.
If it ain't fun, it's not a game :-)

Probably Funny 'Uh-Oh.'"

some are stories, others are rhymes, still some are blank, and my main has a generalist insult in it for snoopers!
