Vista installed on inferior machines isn't an OS failing, it's an OEM failing.

Yes it is. Though the biggest problem was people selling PC's with Vista and 512 MB of ram. The OS is a pig and can't even function with that little amount. Hell it barely functions with 2 gigs. And while I understand we all play games and very few of us only have 2 gigs of RAM, it shouldn't have been a requirement to get your computer to function. At least it shouldn't have been at the time.

Try playing on 1 gig (at least I'm not trying to run Vista on this thing )

Do you even know what RAM is?? i have a vista (with already at least 5-7 gigs on it) and it works fine, RAM is not completely required for it to work, if you are short on RAM the game will just not be as good on graphics and maybe minor setbacks, it works fine if you didnt do the "high graphical experience" download i know that for sure. I was short on RAM when i downloaded WoW on my old computer and the only setback was a "less graphical experience" and it wasnt that bad.
