Help! Friend can't buy MotUD Complete from DDO Store

So, my friend is trying to buy the MotUD complete pack from the store so he can access epic destinies. As epic destinies itself is 990 tp, and at this moment MOTUD Complete is only 1250tp, he' dlike to get the complete pack. However, he is VIP and cannot purchase the pack (store won't let him)

Is there anything he can do?

Menace of the Underdark was an expansion. Even vip had to pay for it. So it should show up. If not give turbine a call tomorrow when they re-open.

Not sure what you mean by "the store won't let him." If they can't find it in the store, make sure they don't have the "show only for my character" box marked. If it's some other problem, any additional (specific error/message) info would be helpful - otherwise they're stuck waiting for assistance. If they have to get Turbine assistance, make sure they call instead of using email if possible - if you call Turbine and say anything along the lines of "I'd like to give you money, but I'm encountering this problem doing so..." I've found them to be very helpful in assisting you to spend your money

He can find it in the store, he just can't buy it. He has to click "show all items" button, and it shows it, but it tells him "this item cannot be purchased."
The problem is that since he's a VIP and he's getting the packs as VIP perks, he isn't allowed to buy the packs also.. Although, he may not always be VIP and would like to purchase that MOTUD right now so he can access it if he drops from VIP.

But the store doesn't let you buy any packs, bundle or not, if you are a VIP.

That's not the reason. As a VIP, he does NOT get the packs. He cannot enter King's Forest, or run any MotU quest.

If he can enter King's Forest, it's because he already bought the expansion separately. Can he enter King's Forest?

To repeat: VIPs do not have access to expansions.

- Eveningstar Challenge Pack
- Druid Class
- King's Forest adventure pack
- Underdark adventure pack
- Schindirlyn adventure pack
- Epic Destinies.

Maybe he has already purchased some of them and the store won't allow him to purchase the complete pack but a smaller pack instead.
Epic destinies are sold separately.
Druid Class is sold separately.
The 3 adventure packs are sold separately (with MotU adventure packs)
The 3 adventure packs and eveningstar challenge pack are sold separately (with MotU challenge pack - not sure about that one)

It's weird that VIPs can't buy an expansion pack.. it's not part of the VIP access, he should be able to buy it regardless of his current status. However, if being a VIP troubles him in this case, he needs to contact or call turbine direction (via in game customer support).

Let's be honest, this issue is not something that you can fix it OP. Your friend has to contact GM or create a thread by himself in order to get 100% garanteed help..

VIPs get access to Eveningstar challenges; does that come with the DDO Store purchase of MotU?

In any case, it's a much, much better deal to buy MotU in the DDO Market for $8.75 than it is to buy MotU in the DDO Store for 1250 points.

I have the same exp with shadowfell expansion, i have bought the DDO store standard before, and now the complete pack has the "cannot be purchased" flag.

Not sure if this is working as intended or not. I would actually consider the upgrade since the iconics and the char slot is still worth it.

This is most probably what is happening to your friend, I bought ED and then I could not buy the complete pack
