    Default Spell Power & Cure Spells Broken?

    Ive read The threads About Heal Spells Getting spell power nerfed and its in the new spell descripons .... but they said cure spells didnt ..with empower healing and cove dagger on a mass cure moderate does an average of 106 healing..

    i put a 78 sp devotion helm on and it only rises to a average 122 hp heal..78 sp adds 16 hp ????

    with no metas or equip i get avg 60 hp cmmw.. with cove dagger(48 usp 12 implemment sp) it goes to 72 avg cmmw... so i added 60 sp and got 12 more hp ????


    none of this is making alot of sense



    ps: i stood in the bar for a couple hrs drinking wine and casting 100s of spells to get these averages

    remember your cove dagger is an equivalent 60 devotion spell power (48potency usp +12 implement sp), so when you equip that devotion item your only adding another 12 spell power to healing spells. they don't stack.

    different sp bonuses are supposed to stack...and even if that is the case 78 devotion and 12 implement sp = +90 sp(or flat 78) for a grand total 28 extra hp???

    different bonus do stack (things like implement, alchemy, potency, enhancements), but devotion (and any of the other single schools) and universial (potency) have never stacked and if it did after the new spell power system then that would not be wai.

    reread the release notes devotion 78 sp stacks with implement 12 bonus for a total of 90 sp = 90% more effect so a base cmmw 0f 60 should yield slightly over a hundred on cmmw it doesnt... 86 average... empower heal pops it to 122 avg

    90SP ~= 90% of BASE hp, if your CMMW heal for ~60 that means that you have ~80SP form Life Magic or some other enhancements.
    Avg of cmmw is ~33 (assuming cl22)
    33(Base) + 33(Base)*80/100(LifeMagic) = 33+33*0.8=33+36.4=59.4 = ~60

    With 90SP from devotion and implement
    33(Base)+ 33(Base)*[(80(lifemagic)+90(Items))/100] = 33 + 33*1.7 = 33+56.1 = 89.1

    Those numbers are pretty close to what you posted

    It adds 90% of whatever the spell description says CMW does, not 90% of whatever your character boosts it to.

    Also a universal equipment bonus wont stack with a life magic equipment bonus because they are both equipment bonuses. They will both stack with a universal implement bonus because it's a different type of bonus (implement vs equipment). Universal and, in this case, life magic are not bonus types, just descriptions of what the bonus is given for.
