tldr: You are an oppressorIn the Phiarlan carnival it is shown that warforged are their own non-binary gender. While you get to choose a male or female body type, the difference is very subtle for warforged, making them quite androgynous by default. Exactly which way they subtly lean is up to the warforged themselves. The people of Stormreach are quite progressive as well as the outhouses at the carnival include separate facilities for male, female, and warforged (yes, 3, not 2, but 3 separate outhouses). So we already have non-binary representation.
Not advertising it at every corner doesn't mean they're being oppressed. It just means in this world it's not a big issue. Isn't that were we want to be? Where gender fluidity is simply accepted and all people simply live together in relative peace and harmony in a society?
(obviously DDO society is not perfect, otherwise there'd be little conflict to spur on adventure for us adventurers, and thus there'd be no game. But it doesn't have to always be about gender. There is racism and oppression and radical politics... some of that is the point. Both to create situations where we can step in to make things right, and to show that when those things exist, negative conflict often results).
Outside of the game, imo, there's no need to spin up drama where there is none. Reporting anyone who disagrees with you on a public forum is unnecessarily aggressive and imo an abuse of the report system. Disagreement or having different opinions is not an attack. Basing your actions on those opinions / letting those opinions influence you to attack others (verbally or otherwise) IS an offence and is bad, but simply stating one's thoughts on the matter is not. (obviously there is a grey area where one could say "it's my opinion that you are a ___", and that is also an offence imo. "nobody cares" on the other hand - while not true because if even one person in the history of the world cares, which is true because the OP obviously cares - is still a valid opinion that isn't a direct attack on the OP themselves.
On the other hand, human rights issues (which is what I consider gender issues to be a subcategory of... and all human rights issues are important issues in the real wold) are - unfortunately - considered by many to be a political issue that gets heated very quickly, and is thus forbidden by this forums rules. Reporting this thread for that violation is (one of) the intended purpose(es) of the report system. Stating this, and moderators acting on this, is not an attack against the OP. It is simply following the rules of the forums (which is not a public space, nor is it a U.S. government forum, thus they are allowed to create and moderate as they will regardless of how many interpret the U.S. Constitution to say about speech).
